Good work getting it diagnosed and on the bench so fast. Who will setup your next set of gears? You have those skills too?

What memories are made of !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look at that sweet 80 front axle on that gray 4Runner. It was a sweet trip. A lot of people but... that means a lot of cool rigs to sniff. Already looking forward to the next trip and driving over all the other rocks I missed.

Loving it!!!!!!!!!!!

Spydoh is a great trail cook and whipped some good meals to share. Thanks
From the pictures you posted it looks like you Reg is not Flexing as good as I it could 🤷‍♂️
He has committed to making sushi for us at Sierra trek…… I’m getting really stoked about wheeling with you guys and meeting Ken. And eating sushi……. Haha

Super stoked, got my third back already. The owner of the shop checked it out before disassembly and said the preload was still with in Spec and everything was as it should be,besides the ring and pinion. He said that it looked like shock load that caused the damage.

Looks dam good to me. Sierra gears were used and total cost was $650.00 parts and labor out the door. I'm happy & love small town living.
Waiting for the rest of my parts to come in from Cruiser Outfitters to stab it back in, should be her today.

nope, and if there is I let up immediately. There was shock load from the strap pulling Shoppy thought. 🤷‍♂️
It was super hard to keep the strap tight pulling over the rough terrain.

more the reason I like to use Kinetic ropes over the traditional tow strap. More power but also is easier on drivetrain and components.

Already mentioned this in a earlier post and on my list ;)

I burned through your thread over the last week. great stuff all around.
I had forgotten about your tube bumper; that is a really cool simple design!
I don't fully understand your sliders, (is there a groove where the "pinched" area of body panels inserts and then you welded both sides)? but they seem to be working exactly as intended.
I searched for "cruisin the woods," and it seems like the event fell by the wayside?

Thanks for the kind word's
On the sliders the the pinch weld is cut off as is most of the rocker on the out side. And the yes welded on both sides. This put's the bottom of the rocker about 4" higher the most sliders and significantly helps the 80 over hard obstacles. ;)

Ok. Interesting.

Well it been a little slow going as one of the sets of gaskets the I ordered for the front axle from Cruiser Outfitters were the wrong ones. ( sh*t happens )They were super helpful getting is sorted out, sent them out on there dime and even sent the axle seals that I added to the order at no charge. I like to order from them as they are very knowledgeable keep a large stock of parts on hand, ship the same day, and everything is well packed and sealed in Individual plastic bags.
Thanks Kurt @cruiseroutfit and the rest of team at Cruiser Outfitters ;)
