Crack seems the best way to goooooo
I mean the crack is the best....hahahahahah!

I used to use a different line and walk right up with out the drama, but there's now a hole at the bottom that the passenger rear tire drops into making the rig get way to tipsy.
Last year I was denied because of that, I tried that line again this year same thing so I went for a different line and sure enough crack is the best

I will get back out there one day... What is the weather like this time of year out there? I was in WY a couple weeks ago and it snowed, and has snowed again since. Nothing like the 100 plus we are going to see here the next few day.

Most of the pictures I saw lots of people had sweatshirts on, except for the guy welding upside down who was in shorts and a t shirt.
I was surprised to see how cool it looked.

The weather in the Sierra Nevada's can change fast, the first few days it was in the high 70s to med 50s at night then some clouds came in and it dropped to low 60s and 40 at night with rain.

Nothing like WY though I spent 8 month working there on the movie Star Ship Trooper the locals would say if you don't like the weather wait 10 minutes or drive 10 miles
We were working 12 hr. a day 7 days a week, one day it was hot sunny in the morning I was working with my shirt off, at lunch I laid down on a unit of plywood for a quick cat nap next thing I know it's snowing on me

Mountains are like that in general, but Wyoming is a bit beyond most places. It's all perspective though: I spent the last couple of weeks working in my neck of the woods with some Texas folks. Last week they kept complaining about how cold it was. 55F is t-shirt weather in my opinion.

Pulled out early this morning for SAS with a with a detour to the Holy Cross trail on the way to meet up with Friends from the Rising Sun 4x4 club and run the trail.
It’s a Black Diamond 9 rated trail should be fun.
Super excited about this !!

We put in 600 miles today currently resting in cedar city it’s hot we saw 116* as the hottest today
The truck took it in stride AC blasting and never slowed down or missed a beat
Super Duty for the win

Holy Cross is a nice trail.

Holy Cross trail was a blast had a great time hanging out with the Crew from Colorado.

Then headed over to SAS 10 for more fun. Got to see a lot of old friend and made a bunch of new ones one of the best things about these Events
Mike let me drive his super bad a** 40 for the day. Way cool rig thanks @Mike Shull was a great day hanging out with you !

It's the one in the middle.

Wow never seen the river so low . Holy cross is one of my favorite trails. Can't wait to get Audrey II done do i can go play on it again .

they've done a lot of work at the creek to redirect the water. it's there its just below the rocks, but it is pretty low...

Starting prep for a Fordyce run coming up

The exhaust was smashed up into the heat shield. Hard to see but it cut through the shield. I'm amazed with constant beatings the there's no leaks.
I used the winch and some rigging to pull it foreword and down. It's not hitting the body or heat shield any more so going to run it as is.

Found that I hit the front Diff drain plug, it was lose and leaking.

Had to use a dremel to clean up the plug so I could tighten it up.
there was welds around the plug to keep it form getting hit but years of wheeling has warn them down. Going to have to build them up again.

No pictures but the front skid plate is bent enough that the front drive shaft is hitting so that well have to be addressed. And the newer rear drive shaft got candy caned.

All in good fun and never missed a beat at SAS10. Holy Cross is a tough trail just the way I like it

I had a great time riding shotgun!

Rode shotgun with my son on a WVA wheeling trip this weekend, quite a relaxing way to enjoy the trails sometimes…

My 80 is still in CO after Moab this spring…on the cusp of getting a local beater to keep home and visit my other one in CO a few times a year…my friends that are keeping it are encouraging this!

I have a line on a triple locked 96 with 220k, recent head gasket from a very reputable LC shop in my area, set up for wheeling on 35’s…a little banged up, but realizing that I wouldn’t care about cosmetics on this one. Owned by 3 different local club members for the past 15+ years, so a well documented history. Owner now is getting transferred cross country and can’t take it with him. Great price too, I’ll disclose if I don’t grab it!
