I may have missed this, but can this be setup to swing out from the passenger side instead? Would make me feel better changing the tire on the side of a busy highway.

I gave this a lot of thought, but ultimately settled on DS due to visibility. Time will tell if that was the right move, but with 24 hours of having this installed, I am so far happy that I went with DS for parallel parking purposes here in the city.

Lifting my factory alloy rims with a 255/85 wasn't as bad as I thought it woud be, usnig my best front-squat form! But I mounted with the gate closed. Even with a strut, I *think* you'd want to mount this with the gate latched (?) I could see the advantages to PS side so the gate swings away from the road. Everyone has their own opinion on this but wanted to offer my $0.02.

Hey everyone! Here's a update.
I've made the first batch of simple license plate mounts and they will be heading to powder coat soon (hopefully this week). These are great if you need a tag relocation and don't need all the other fancy cool things I'm coming out with next. Made out of 1/8" steel and powder coated black. All the hardware is included as well. NO TOOLS needed to remove the tag to get to the spare tire. Wing nuts for the win.

Also, I will soon be offering these super cool USA made LED license plate lights. They have a stainless mounting plate and a third brake light built in. The best part is they have a quality disconnect built in so it makes removing the tag to get to your spare very easy and reliable.

Next up, Not quite finalized yet but very close. This may get its own thread once I get further along in the design. But for now let me know your thoughts and interest...A accessory mount, with many possibilities and configurations. There are currently 3 configurations (with plans for more) and multitudes of options with each one. Here's a few examples:
Flush Mount/ no tag Dual Rotopax (btw it will fit the 4 gallon single rotopax)

Put a tank or 2 on one side and a accessory on the other

You might want to tie your boards down better than we did for the picture but you get the point.

The top has more mounting holes for things like a flag, CB antenna, reverse lights ect
