Finishing up a brake upgrade on it right now. DBA rotors/pads all around, new OEM calipers and very nice rust free SoCal backing plates. This is the bigger brakes than found on the early HDJ81’s.

Bedding in the brakes earlier, you can hear it lock up all four in the video.

We straightened up the tweaked RHS fender today, a little massaging and it got about 90% back to perfect.

We clay barred the whole Cruiser today and then gave it a ceramic wax.

We decided to not polish the paint, any scratches are very minor and you only got so many cut & polishes on OEM paint. I think it is better to save that since the paint is very nice as is.

You can see a small dent in the roof on the RHS. No clear peal though on this roof or ganky roof rack!

Got some rear frame side OEM bump stops showing up Monday. Got heater valve + hoses and front/rear wiper arms and blades still coming from Japan and we need to install the fender skirts in the front wheel wells. We are going to scrub the chassis a bit and give it a fresh rust prevention coating, that happens tomorrow or Friday.

That’s it for this one and we are out of time on it!

Cheers

Cleaned the whole chassis and underside of body this morning with SimpleGreen until it was clean to the touch. After that we laid down five cans of the SEM rust preventor.

After that we sprayed this inside all the frame rails using a 3ft wand and a 360* nozzle.

I've done RHD in the past and I just don't know if I want to do it again.

If I decide to, it will only be with this rig...only thing worthy of that decision.

I tell ya what, I am kind of in the same camp. This is the first RHD I have driven where I am like, man this thing is sweet enough I think I could do it! 🤗🤣

She is a sexy girl! And I do believe off to a new home soon. 😉🤙
