Don't forget the liquid sealant on the two bolt holes closest to the border of the case half. They open into the case and need sealant otherwise they will leak.

Sounds like its coming along well :)
This is on a 3 speed case but yea, I will be using RTV cause I am cheap and dont want to wait for a gasket. If it doesnt hold I will order one.

Ya I hated that drain hole in the skid... Just never fixed it  ... Get her back on the trail the BJ will be ready by round up and patches better be there too ;)
She will be there as long as I get the transmission in the dodge out and fixed in time.

Got the cross member kinda back in after fighting the bastard for a good half an hour, I needsomething to expand my frame a little to make it easier... But then had to drop it again to go back over the mount we made for the trac bar. Try again tomorrow I guess, hopefully we can get it buttoned up here soon. Gonna have to do something about the rear heater core hoses tho. I want to keep them as even tho the fan doesnt work it does put of heat to people in the back when they are there. But if I have to I will just remove it I guess, Usually dont have more than one passenger.

Don't think I ever wire the rear fan motor  might ck it out

1.) Swapped all of my rock lights for some nice LEDs. Came from China but for the I think 26 bux or whatever shipped they were well worth the money and work waaay better than what I had.

2.) Then wen wheeling and my buddy broke a hub on his ranger and also a rear driveshaft yoke. Luckily he had parts to get the rear fixed and limped home. I had to drag him out but no big deal for a cruiser.

Looking good when does the D60 go in ;)

Some of the work of the trac bar.

I did some work on my trac bar over the holidays too, and it is very much like yours. Unfortunately, I found that mine, and I'm sure yours too, limits the up/down travel of the rear suspension pretty significantly.

Jack up the rear from the center of the frame and see how high you have to go to get the wheels off the ground. Do it again with the shackle unhooked.

Unhook the shackle, jack up the rear from the center on the frame and try to hook the shackle back up. It won't work.

If you want the trac bar to limit the up/down travel, and it and the x-member and shackle are all strong enough, you're good to go. I'm changing mine. I'm going to add a slip-joint to the top bar. Flying by the seat of my pants, but it won't have the problem it has now.

After I finish building and going through it and have everything for full hydro. Still need high steer arms, new axle seals, axle u-joints, tear down and inspect / re pack all bearings and that stuff yet to do and everything to go full hydro. Not gonna do the fight the steering wheel thing anymore, I want point and shoot.

The trans also lost 3rd gear on me, prolly wont have that done by wheeling season but it just got bumped up on the to do list.

Right now I gotta fix the trans in the dodge, then a friend is wanting to buy it, then I have to find another truck (looking to get a mega cab), then a bigger trailer (well wider) is needed, then finish the orange one. After that is do a engine / trans swap on the honda, hopefully finish D60 and then focus on getting Fiona built up where she needs to be, and swap engine in her ect. Its a long list thats for sure!

That is cause by the way the leaf spring arc with the shackle. I am using the same length shackle as the truck has (or pretty close) and the lower bar follows the drive shaft pretty damn close. If it limits travel a little it will just have to work. It will get linked next, hopefully in the next year or so, so I dont really care. I wheeled it saturday and it climbed all the same stuff that gives everyone else problems (but not me) just like it did before with no trac bar and the same setup. Any travel I loose is negligible and not worth my time to do again. My shackle sits tight beside my t case and is pretty much vertical so its about as good as it can get angle and dimension wise. and is as far inward near the diff as was physically possible. Im also running a 3/4" heim at the shackle end to allow it to twist with the axle articulation.

Full hydro huh ... Keep me in mInd on any parts not going on Fiona :D that rear FF looks Awsome

Yup, I was told the front 60 was welded (I'm hoping it isn't...) and I don't feel like playing the lets see if I can steer while twisted up game.

What are you looking for? The axles will go there and may keep the knuckles around as spares aas well as hubs. Other than that wouldn't be much more than a basic soa housing left.

And yea I love the 14 already. I have put some heavy forces in it already and I don't even think it has tried to flinch. Transfer case is what scares me now.
