1.) Just at another angle. If you look closely you can kinda see the fender doesnt line up with the hood very well. I did cut and section out a piece so that I could bent it the proper angle but it hangs low and comes up short to the end of the hood. Even if I adjusted the hood it would still be short. This is because the hood line slowly slopes down to the fender on a full width hood and also the front of the truck slopes back to meet up with the fender when un altered. so with it being cut then the fender bent to match it lines up with the longer and higher points on the hood line. I did this more to apease the neighbors so it looks less like s***, I would like it to have fenders of some sort but I wont be able to make them work without much more body work. Something I tend to get picky over.

2.) better close up.

1.) where the tires line up now on the new wheels that are 9" wide with 7" of back spacing.

2.) same

It appears wider up front right now cause it technically is but only due to wheels and not axle widths. the rear axle is 10" wider than the front, so I decided to run the stock offset humvee wheel out back to give me the right spacing I needed till I get a full width D60 up front and then will run a nice 3.5" backspace from pressed center from trail worthy fab. The front wheels are 12" wide on 2.5" back space, Im pretty confident that with a 9" wheel up front at around 2.5 - 3.5" backspacing and the same tires front to rear (fronts are the 39.5x18-15 rears are 37x12.50-15) track width should be about dead on! New wheels for the front will be ordered soon enough and I will throw a couple more military tires on there for the time being till I can afford either a complete set of 4 tires on the 16.5's that are 42-43" tall or till I can afford the $1K to replace only the rear 2 and still keep a 39.5" bogger and they all match still.

Start my new job on Monday so hopefully the better pay will help speed up the process of getting it back on the trail.

Also gonna beef up the front end while its down since I have a knuckle that is no good up there right now and put on some 6 shooters, maybe some 4 runner calipers (one of mine is ruined) and probably a T100 master cylinder cause it has a larger bore and will move more fluid which will be needed with the read disks.

Then I painted a couple of little things here and there that ere bare metal, filled up the clutch fluid res, and put the intake back on since it starts like it is supposed to again. Nothing crazy, but I will continue to tinker till it is back up to the condition it should be. I plan to add a voltage gauge (the factory one in this truck is way off, tho my other truck is dead on) to the battery, I chose the battery cause the factory one is from the alternator and I want to know the state of charge of the battery, probably an oil pressure gauge (I know pressure is low but unsure how low and would like to know on this old trail truck), and maybe a coolant temp gauge since I have em all already.

Looking good... That 40 still hasn't been picked up:eek:

The fender look good so far

That 40 is gonna go on a trailer and find its way back into his driveway with keys in an envelope very soon.

I don't know if they will clear the calipers. If they do then I will do just that till I can afford a complete set for the 16.5's

How much backspacing can you get? I'm 10" wider in the back than the front... I think on a 10" wheel I would need something like 6-7" backspace.

well I think only 4 BUT if you do a 15x8 with a weld on lock it'll be a 9 and close to that width ...I'll ck tomarrow

A 10" wheel with 4" backspace will make me 1.5" wider out back (per side) than the front currently is, so 3 inches wider total. I can take the spacers from the back and run them up front and it only be a quarter inch per side. With a weld on beadlock it will add about 1 inch per side. So that could really work...

If you don't mind shoot me a text tomorrow on how much. Black with holes please. :-)

Exactly why spacers probably won't work up front. If there is 5-6" BS that would be ideal on the 10"

Thanks Joel!

Yea worse things have happened, I didnt want to have to do this but it was a needed upgrade, but its all good and I am happy seeing the beast under there.

How much work would involve the cutting off the 60 cab right just behind the front seats and welding on a panel to make the 60 look like a truck without a bed?
