First start after some priming. The Gturbo makes such a difference and kicks in so early down in the revs. My boost gauge only goes to 15 and reaches that point very quick. It's set at around 16 PSI out of the box so will have to get another gauge so I can keep an eye on it before tweaking the fuel screw and a tune. Drives like a completely different car. Dare I say " like a modern car" Acceleration, not steering and braking though.

Had to tighten the clamps on the silicone bends 2 minutes into first drive as one of them popped. I have some wider bands and new black reinforced 90 deg bends on order. It will look a little more factory under the hood that way also.

can you be sure to tell how you do the fuel tuning? Still trying with mine but just shooting in the dark.

Sure mate. He’s booked for what I think is a starter relay or solenoid problem and aircon quote next week. Then a couple of weeks run in before I touch anything.

So, been real busy of late. Done a couple of runs through the cane fields near me, and a run up the mountain so I can do some longer gradual uphill stints.
Aircon is connected and running real cold. Leave it on too long and my trick knee starts aching.
I've started my boat rebuild this week, so there's another couple of months of work.

Gotta get another boost gauge as turbo is set at 16-18psi out of box and mine only goes to 15psi.

Squealing tires with a Land Cruiser. Gotta love it! Well done.

Nibbling away at different things, most stuff not worth posting.
Cleaned up my camper trailer build so I can tow it to my sons shed soon, which will put it under cover. This means I can do some more bodywork and electrical before organising a hard lid and boxes at the front for kitchen.
I thought rather than start buying more stuff for the car and creating a bigger To Do list I would install things that have been sitting on a shelf waiting to go in.
I've had a rear camera waiting to be installed for a couple of years now, I ran the wire from my Sony head unit to the rear wheel arch ages ago. I decided the best position to mount the camera so the tow bar was in view for hitching up trailers was the rear licence plate frame. The lights were never installed so got to work cleaning the bulb holders ( wire brush, rust converter, gal primer, top coat) and lenses, then swapped out the old bulbs with LEDs and ran the camera wire through the same rubber grommet. Found the old factory plug still connected to the wiring loom at the rear so soldered plug back on after pushing through grommet, heat shrink on joint.

Because I'm working on my 2nd battery install and other 12V stuff I thought I'd install a fire extinguisher.

Such a cool vehicle. One if my favorites.

Could you remind me what rear window you ended up fitting?

Looks good mate you should get some weather shields and a bonnet protector though
Ha… I’ve got him booked in for some ceramic coating paint protection next month. Then my son said he was going to help me install them. Their sitting in my garage.

Windows are tinted. I also put a sticker on the scoop and the factory turbo sticker on rear of car.

Did a shed day with my son and finished installing the reverse camera and windscreen wipers. Also started the dash cam, interior light and tidied up some wiring behing my seat where the 2nd battery and fuse box is going.

This was the works supervisor.

Paintwork has been ceramic coated now and about to head out west for a few days so thought I would add a bonnet stone-guard for some more protection.
Interior light is in and working. You don't realise how handy an interior light is till you've been struggling without one. I'll eventually change over all dash and interior lights to LED next.

I also fitted a new 30PSI boost gauge as I was a bit concerned about how fast the needle shot off the old 15PSI boost gauge with the new GTurbo but it actually slows down around 15PSI and tops out around 18-19PSI. I still haven't had a tune so no fuel turned up yet.

I replaced my brake master cylinder with a Aisin 80 series one as the aftermarket one I had started leaking. I also installed some angled spacers behind the pod gauges so they would face the driver better.

Also replaced the blue silicone hoses with black ones so the engine bay looks a little more factory.

A guy of Instagram also did a cool drawing of my car.

My workloads been pretty spread out of late as I am close to finishing my other project, which I can't wait to get out in.
