The only guy having more trouble than myself was riding his motorcycle. He couldn't keep it in a lane. After a few miles he exited, i hope he lives near by.
So i picked the worst day see what my highway mileage would be. It came out to be 15.8 mpg. I could barely get it up top 70 and the egt were an average of 1100. Had an old lady in her wheel chair pass me and flip me the bird.
In good news, my stereo fixed itself.

It was in the 20s this morning on base. The truck took 3 cranks to start, it's never done that before. I didn't have the block heater and it produced white smoke, more than the usual. We'll see how it acts up tomorrow morning.

That's what mine does. I have not installed my glow relay yet... I find if I plug in the block heater an hour or two before I fire it off it does not make any smoke and starts well.

Yep, that's normal.

Seems about right. The Cummins starts way better than my 7.3. My Ford below 30 takes one or two attempts before it fires up.

Mine white smokes more than that when cold, but I'm trying to push more fuel. Not an issue as long as it cleans up once the engine is warm.

Perfectly normal.

I had my block heater and oil heater plugged in the other night when it got down to -26F... Didn't start right off... about 4-5 minutes of cranking... Then a PLETHORA OF WHITE SMOKE FOLLOWED BY EYE WATERING FUMES...

But, ran like a champ after that.

Damn! -26!!!

I started my OM617A, which requires glow plug use, yesterday in 30 degree temps. Started right up after two weeks of sitting there. It's a totally different animal with the indirect injection setup. Don't even think about trying to start it without glowing it first.

Just got back from Ft Worth and about to head to Victoria for more training. I found this on my doorstep.

I forgot i ordered it. Still waiting on the antenna.

The entire thing fits in my hand.

In other news i tried taking a video while driving to show how fast a 4 cylinder diesel can get on the highway. The egt in this video were a bit high , they were lower most of the rest of the way. Notice the Speedometer is off by about 20mph at 50.

I know I need a go pro, and no making fun of Queen. Freddy mercury is a legend

Nice choice on CB. I have no complaints with mine.

That's great to hear, I hate buying inferior stuff. The soonest I can get to installing it would be Friday evening when I get back. I need to also do some maintenance before the Big bend trip, oil changes and what not.

Just make sure you use a SWR meter to tune the antenna. I think I bought mine for $10 years ago. I take the antenna off when not in use so I check it about once a year and I haven't had to retune it yet.
