So started messing with the new axle. I want to keep my 15in wheels so I can pass inspection in a month or so (humvee wheels won't pass because they are split rims) .

I know 15s won't clear the caliper but I wanted to know How close.

It looks like with my 1.5 in spacers I should be fine. Anyone done this or can confirm? I'm keeping the 15s around for inspections and hard trails.

The 1 inch bore MC is great when you don't strip the front brake line and get a quart of air in the front brake system . I'm sure when I get it fixed and rebleed it will be better, everyone knows bigger is better right?

lol, a quart of air. Never heard that before, but will for sure use it. I just ordered my 1 in bore. it's all about the girth when it comes to these things.

EDIT: I should clarify, never heard of a quart of air without knowing the air pressure used to measure accurate amount. Nevermind, it's still funny in my head

I don't know, just came up with a random unit of measure lol

Went to an overland meeting, then continued to the lake to kayak.

Saw these guys. They had their entire bed in the lake to load up the jet ski. I wasn't quick enough to get my camera, this is all I caught. (you know you're a red neck when you submerge your pick up to load a jet ski :D)

It was, first time in a while :princess: and I had time together to just relax. The meet was ok, it's always good to meet different people with the same mindset. The lake was freezing, but fun. I need to get a real roof rack.

On a separate note. there's a different whine in my gearbox when I shift. Wondering is the pilot bearing or something needs replacing.

M, when clutch is engaged? while driving increasing rpm or lugging transmission.?

Check fluids?

I love the NV4500, but most classify it as sounding like a "box of rocks".. Some sound like hell and operate just fine.

Need more info and Johnny or one of the others would be better at the diagnosis than me.

yeah, it drives fine. It's just changes in pitch or a whine when going from first to second and second to third, then back down again. It's when the clutch is engaged and in between gears (neutral). Not too worried about it yet, just noticed it is all.

Throw out bearing.

We actually talked about you. They asked if I knew you or Mauricio. You didn't miss much Dave. There's another club meeting on tuesday, you better be there :p

Ha. Cool. Let me know if you want a deal on a diesel 80.

Well, it could be that bearing or a bunch of other things.
