Good MPG numbers.

Where'd you get Raptor liner for 50% off? I love that stuff.
Ace hardware in Georgetown is liquidating everything so they can remodel. Wife made me spend like $400 on tools I don't think I'll ever use.

Back from San Antonio. Drove up this morning when the weather was still brisk. On some stretches I reached 88mph and the engine never made it to 190* the entire 2 hour drive, though at one point it got to 185* :bounce2::bounce:. At some points, the sustained cruising boost was 18 psi. I think i found Big Red's favorite season.

I was hoping to take off the rear bumper this weekend and clean it, prep it and Raptor Line it, but that might have to be shelved for another time. I apparently can't read a calendar like I can read a map and now I have the first draft of a 40-page thesis due in 4 days o_O.

EDIT: Forgot to mention there were 3 of us in that truck when it hit 88mph.

I've not been able to take the Tacoma that fast (yet), so it's novel to me that this 30 year old rig can do it.
Seriously though, i might start looking into stronger brakes soon.

Who can guess what this handy thing is?

Any idea why this keeps happening?

It's not overheating, but the coolant keeps leaking after I park it. I can't tell from where, but I see the evidence in the mornings. The overfill container gets empty after I've filled it halfway and topped off the radiator. The radiator is also about two inches low on coolant. This is the third time I've had to add coolant to it.

The bad would be if there is compression getting into the cooling system and over pressurizing the coolant system. Failing head gasket, crack somewhere into cooling passages, leaky freeze plugs.

Other thoughts: correct fitting radiator cap? right pressure? Pin leak in hoses or radiator? You already check your hose clamps for tightness?

I'm thinking it's the cap. Gm radiator, modified Toyota cap. At least that my hope. I really don't want to do another head gasket.

I'm running a 16psi cap that fits my aftermarket radiator. I am running a coolant bypass set up because of my higher boost numbers but I've had no issues with that coolant cap pressure.

This is what i have.

Tightened all the hose clamps again. Will go look for a performance GM cap. Hopefully that's the last time I have this issue.

Mike have you taken Big Red for a drive and get it up to temp and see if you can see where it’s leaking?
It's been too cool here recently. I tightened the hoses again and replaced the cap with a 20 psi cap. Hoping that solves it. I really don't need another head gasket job.

I replaced my hose clamps with tee bolt clamps as the hose clamps weren’t sealing on the radiator hose to radiator. Have you checked your oil?
I cant tell that there's any coolant in the oil, but I'll check again tomorrow. I might pour a bottle of head gasket sealer as a temp fix.
