Fuel pump maybe?

I don't think it's the fuel pump, it starts right away when i jump or push start it.

What are the symptoms? Do you hear the starter solenoid click? Does it crank?

it clicks or kinda half clicks. New one is now doing the same. Edwin thinks it's the ignition cylinder as they tend to go bad.

How's the ARB? Does your compressor cycle on and off when the locker is engaged? The reason that I ask is that mine is short cycling and I haven't seen a leak which leads me to believe it may be internal, need to engage mine and check the breather line to see if it is trying to pressurize the housing....Nice build...

I haven't installed the ARBs yet. I'm waiting on some cash and for the guy doing it to move to a new location.

I know I've asked you before, but do you have a dedicated relay to the starter that's switched by the stock starter circuit?
I don't think so. I''m almost positive I don't. I'm illiterate when it comes to electrical.

I had those same issues with the Princess back in the day. I solved it by adding a dedicated relay that was triggered by the stock ignition circuit.

I rekon it's time for an update. I learned in the Marine Corps when you can't figure something out, get one of your Red Neck friends to help you. After realizing it wasn't the starter I went to order an ignition switch, but it was gonna take 7 days and cost just shy of $100. I need the truck tomorrow. So instead, Dylan my buddy decided we can either jump out of the truck and touch the positive to the negative on the starter using a screw driver every time I need to start it, or he can rig something up. I decided he needed to rig something.

So we went to Oreillys and bought this.

Then we drilled a 5/8 hole

place it somewhere convenient.

place it where you want it.jpg

then perform some electrical voodoo

and connect it to the starter solenoid

then you get this.

Your so modern now. Makes me want to do something similar. If only I could just get in like the wife's VW, key in pocket, and hit the start button.

I kinda hate that is becoming semi modern. My original vision for this truck wad to be able to drive it no matter what and use basic things like a shoe string if I have to. Now an EMP will surely disable me from driving unless I had it running already.

I'm always amazed how my coworkers can't manage to park between the lines and complain that their doors keep getting dinged.

I have to have the key in and turned for the engine to start. while not intentional, it prevents the steering wheel from locking up.
