Thanks for the input. It might be a couple of weeks of it looking like this. Have a stiff travel schedule coming up. But yeah definitely need to protect it.

This is how Big Red knows summer is coming.

I plan on hitting the lake tomorrow.

No I haven't. Where are you thinking of doing one?

Edit :I once did like a 6 hour float on a tube once. Not sure if it counts.

Don't really know. Since I have property on Pedernales I have always wanted to that since there could be stopping points at my place, the state park, and then somewhere further down stream. I know there would be lots of dragging of kayaks/canoes on this river.

We had a great time at the lake. Barton Springs was really flowing. On the way home I couldn't start Big Red. It would click but no starter. It did work when I got a jump start. So does this mean both my batteries are bad or the starter is going bad? If it's the started how would a jump start get it to work?

Next time try jumping the starter. Take a cable and jumper between the starter solenoid and the main terminal on the starter. If it fires up, then your ignition circuit is probably not providing enough juice to the starter solenoid.

Do you have a multimeter that you can check the battery voltage? The same thing happened to my dad today. I had to jump him and it turned over when I punched his fuse box. Could be that I jarred his relay into working or pure convincidence. After that we shut his truck down numerous times trying to figure out the issue but couldn't replicated it. He had a good battery.

Meant to post this earlier but forgot. On my way up I managed to do 83 mph . But I had a hard time getting a picture of it. The closest one I got was at around 80.

Can't really see it so I'll try again on the way back.

Still happy with the water injection?
Yeah. I'm still trying to figure it the best psi number to have it kick on. You can definitely feel the extra power, but it doesn't seem to cool EGTs like most people claim. If anything it might slow it down from rising a bit . Maybe it's a timing thing, but overall I'm happy.

Finally made the monthly meeting. Saw some old friends and made some new ones.

Them on the way home my gas pedal was loose, couldn't figure out why. About 100 yards from my house the bracket holding the fuel cable broke. I limped it home. It's not a big deal I just need to find a friend with a welder.

The picture is bad, it's dark out and I'm tired. Will deal with it later.
