I just ordered this bad boy. Been watching out for one for a few months :bounce::bounce2:.

Now I hope it comes in before my beach trip next weekend. It's suppose to be raining and storming, which only makes it more exciting I think.
Nice. They ship super fast so you will have it by next weekend. Now you need to move the solar project up on the list so you can turn it on and forget about it.
I hope the weather gets better for us next weekend. Looks pretty s***ty right now.

I got mine the day after I ordered. A few dents. Nothing I wasn't expecting.

You're gonna love the edgestar Mike. I've got the 43qt right now and love the heck out of it.

Congrats on your 100 page thread. Pretty impressive.

wow, thanks for pointing that out. I didn't realize it's been that many. I usually check the thread on my phone. I think maybe 20 pages of that is real tech the rest is chat.

Thanks Johnny. This will solve the keeping the beer and meat cold without having to stop for ice all the time issue. I'll find out the value of this investment next weekend when we hit the beach.

You'll love having a fridge. Have you run power to the back of the truck yet?

no, I have the amp and the trailer connectors but no way to plug in the fridge yet. It's a good project for this weekend so long as it stops raining for a bit.

so how does this work exactly? the fridge runs only when the truck is on, or runs constantly and takes from the battery when the truck is off?

The fridge will run as long as it's connected to power, just like any fridge. When the truck is on, it'll run and the battery will charge. When the truck is off, the fridge will run down the battery, but it has a low voltage cutoff.

I leave mine on 24/7. I probably will start shutting it off once the temps hit 90+ since I don't have a insulated cover yet. My rear fuse panel is always hot. Solar keeps the battery charged while outside and when parked in the garage I have this.

I have a shore power outlet like that somewhere in my parts bin. I never got around to installing it on my trailer. One more thing on the to do list :(

Let's say eventually I wanted to buy a portable welder. What wattage should I be looking for in the power inverter that will also support the fridge and random miscellaneous electronics?
