In full sun this thing from 200 yards away in the field was like a green disco ball. So cool

NAILED IT! I said “green for the money, gold for the honey” 10,000 times during this process!

Full disclosure, this is the first time ive ever painted a car. The flake coverage is pretty good but there are areas where it needed more. The clear has plenty of runs, thatll mostly clear up with a wet sand and buff.. Overall im really happy with how it turned out for a trail truck.

Started the truck to leave work last week and was met immediately with the smell of electrical fire.
It got stronger for about 15 seconds before i panicked and shut it off to looks for flames. Luckily there was no fire but i did grab my extinguisher out of the back to have on hand while i looked around. Checked under the hood, no smell, but under that dash it was super strong, so something went wrong, scary.. Luckily it didnt happen again on restart so i babied it home with everything turned off, i disconnected the batteries and parked it in the garage, havent touched it since.

Crazy.
Mostly an added wire connection.
I wouldn't think a factory wire loop would do that.
Hope for the best...

I cannot find anything, ive looked and looked.. nothing i added was burnt, nothing factory was burnt, im going to continue to investigate. While the dash is out, i got rid of all the old stereo stuff, full stereo is the next big project, then seats and a console, then im building a lowrider..

Yes and no, id like to build one, i need a tubing bender first The dash isnt a big deal to remove so i can always pull it out again later on. Im removing a couple useless things like air bags, the factory amp, and cruise control ecu, thatll free up some room for new goodies in the future.
