I made paper template out of poster board and traced the shape on the wood. I used a jigsaw to cut and a grinder with a flap disc to refine the shape a bit. There was a ton of fitting and tweaking to get it so tight, i left enough room to wrap with carpet.. also the carpet is not glued down to make replacement easier in the future if needed.. otherwise the carpet us stapled down around the edges and the screws that hold the top panels to the box itself also hold the carpet down.. ive still got to face the drawers, install handles, and adjust(with shims) side to side slop of the drawers. I also have a small elastic cargo net to place on top.
