Reminder to check your radiator. Mines blew up on the trail. Made another camping trip out of it.

Ordered a Spectra Radiator through PepBoys and picked up the location instock. Cost was $200 out the door with lifetime warranty. Radiator for life.

The spectra bottom inlet is a bit smaller. A new hose will help.

Used the OEM brackets transfer over to the new radiator to keep the foam.

Took 3 gals of 50/50 mix coolant

Put a Spectra CU2282 in mine 4 years ago and it's doing fine.

Can I ask; Did you have an added fuel line heat shield or high gas fuel pressure at gas cap (long hiss when gas cap released).

I installed this Denso back in March. $168.85, but took a week to get. Came from West Coast ground, and I'm in DFW.

Amazon product ASIN B004J378CM

The bottom seam just blew out of LXs radiator. Over 10 years ago, I bought a new radiator from Napa for an Infiniti. It is still working well today. I checked Napa price and the price is over $300 for a house brand and something like $380 for a Denso. Yikes.

I ordered a new Spectra CU2282 from Rock using a discount code. in addition to a new AISIN fan clutch. I though I could hear clutch sounds while driving the other day.. If one doesn't get ya, the other one will.

Quick update, the Spectra I got from PepBoys is a CSF radiator.
Kind of a vague post- was it a Spectra box with CSF inside or did they fulfill your order with a csf instead? CSF and Spectra are definitely two different entities-seems an odd mix up. Afik Pep boys doesnt inventory radiators (for the 100 series) they order from the respective distributor drop shipped to your selected pick up location.

If you ever have a warranty issue and you return that csf radiator with a spectra on the receipt, you’ll have a hell of a time getting warranty honored.

Side note. The Spectra that I received from Rock arrived via FedEX without damage.

The packaging looks better than on another radiator I ordered from them last year.

It was a Spectra Box with a CSF radiator. The CSF label was scuff off. Both the Spectra label on the box and the label on the radiator States its made in Indonesia.

My LC is at 155k and I am noticing coolant leaks so just ordered a Koyo from my local radiator.com / 1800radiator. Wholesale price was $150. Grabbing some new Frost King foam from Lowes and Continental hoses. Besides coolant, what else do I need to do this myself? Trying to figure out which hose clamps I should get too - any recommendations?

I’m not finding any place local to me that carries koyo. I just looked at the 1-800 radiator website which I had never heard of, and nothing. Is there a certain parts store chain that carries koyo?

1800radiators is the only vendor I was able to locate that had the Koyo. I set up a wholesale account and they delivered next day. Great service and pricing. Arrived in perfect shape.

For anyone running koyo, did you run oem hose and clamps or other setup?

I saw it asked a couple times throughout the thread but didn't see many replies. Has anyone tried the all aluminum 3 row radiators offered on eBay? Truck is getting a wee bit hot going up the passes with the trailer (209 WT/199 Trans).

Top tank of my radiator is brown and looking for the best replacement as PM.

From personal experience, would it be best brand to go with? I've been hearing lots of stories about Denso rad's leaking, etc.

Any feedback would be appreciated!

I went with CSF. Paid around $120 + Shipping at RockAuto.com
The box arrived wet and mostly destroyed, but the radiator inside was intact.
So far it's been about 3 months since I installed it and is working great. I got my temps back to normal.

I do have a small leak that I can't find. I need to add about 1 inch of coolant to the reservoir every month.

I went with Koyo through rockauto. Arrived in perfect condition. I have never bought radiator and had it shipped, and I was concerned about it being damaged. The packaging was relatively sparse but designed pretty well. I haven't installed it yet, but will report back here with my findings.
