Love the idea and the dedication to the design, just can't see it for myself though. I've always said I'm likely to die in this thing (the 80) and this would really push out the timeline on that possibility or perhaps even halt it entirely and that's just unacceptable. I've not planned to live as long as this might allow me to.

As an update, been working on the website and hopefully have something launched in the new year. Components look to be arriving Monday or Tuesday(after some holiday delays unfortunately) and hopefully get to starting the full install.

Also socials for updates will now be on IG @maysiswerks so be sure to follow if you're interested in brakes and other future products.

I take that as a compliment. From the very beginning I knew this wasn't for everyone and quite particularly niche, but that allowed me to pursue the best of the best, focus on the needs of a few and why this will be a limited production. I also see my 80 as part of a lifelong collection, whether that be an ongoing project or a timepiece to represent parts of my life. My 80 has travelled from New Zealand, to Eastern Canada, to Western Canada, and now in the US with me. I know there's others out there that share the same sentiment with their 80, this is hopefully for them.

One side mounted without much fuss, everything seems to line up exactly as intended. Currently waiting on my brake lines from Hel Performance. For most, with factory suspension, EPB will be mounted in the furthest rearward locations and those having custom suspension and/or axles, have the option of mounting where their application allows. Might be a little over a week before I have schedule available to work on the other side, and figure out where to mount the control unit for the EPB.

www.maysiswerks.com Website soft launched, info on brakes scheduled to go live later this week. Will be limiting production to only 10 kits, though after quite a few people asked, pre-orders will be open for a limited time with a special promo and guarantee allotment regardless of quantity(ie 16 pre-orders would mean no kits available direct to consumer until next run possibly 2027). More info to come. Be sure to follow!

Does your 17" offset need to be -38?
Not necessarily, there's clearance with the fifteen52 Analog HD 0 offset wheels I have w/out the 38mm spacer, but might be too close for comfort. Don't think there's a lot of wheels with more clearance(more open barrel), maybe some Rays wheels. Wish I had a collection of wheels to test fit :(

I was tempted to go 14" 2pc rotor for the rear for clearance on majority of 17" wheels, but cost would go up even more so... =/

I am going to wait until someone else buys them, installs them, and reviews them and it is ready to ship.

I don't do pre-orders.

Someone else go first please..😏

Thanks for the input, I'll see what I can do with the website.

Fair enough, I've also hated pre-orders. We all know this community has been burned by some. Wasn't planning on doing it but a few people, not many, brought it up and asked.

Always open to people test driving my 80. Might actually try and reach out to a few in the area so people can hear from them.
