get some pics of your motor mounts for me, looking pretty good. go with some 37 and itll look good. as far as backspacing i run 2.5 on 15x8 rims i like the added width and they look better.

just a comment, I have the same tank, you may want to paint it silver. It sounds crazy but it makes a HUGE differene in keeping your fuel cool. On a hot highway that tank will soak up heat from the road. I am in SO CA though where it can get pretty hot in the summer. Also, I painted mine black, so red may not be an issue, I got vapor lock though.

Rick does not like the red, so it probably will get painted. We are running a TBI,
so I hope we do not need to worry about vapor lock. I am pretty sure we have all gas tank issues cut off at the pass. Rick found a fill neck out of a 75 E250 that is going to be sweet. Adding a vented cap and a frame mounted Airtex pump made for the 350TBIs.
More to come.

Hopefully we can get the fuel and brake lines done today. Body is out getting blasted.

Food for thought, or something to watch out for.. A lot of the PS mounts are done with 2 scab plates on either side of the frame. Take a look at this for an example.

I have a really nice one that Butch Lewis did, but have no good pics of it. This becomes more critical as tire size goes up.

With a stout front bumper solidly attatched to it there shoudl not be an issue with what he did.

makes sense...

I aggree with Mace! The front bumper will add a lot of strength to the front end. Looking good with some real meats on those wheels!

Update: It's been over a year now. The tub has been at the body shop for six months. Can't go any further without it.

Sheesh! What are they doing to the body? The Bowflex workout only takes 20 minutes, 2-3 times a week! :) Bet it'll look awesome when they're done with it!!!

If you haven't bought the wiring kit yet, look at centech. Really nice stuff!!!!!

Sheesh! What are they doing to the body?

Nothing, it sits and gathers dust. Same old story "I need $$ up front to work on it" He gets started and runs out of cash. Finds another job and gets money up front from him. So on and so on and so on. Nothing gets done, people get screwed.

I stopped by the shop last week. The body had just gotten back from the body shop. It took a while but looks real nice. This seems to have been one of the deals where the work is good and price was fair, the down side is they with work when they have time. I wnderstand nine months in this case. It your not in a rush which I son't think Rick is it can be a good deal for both parties. The body has fill in work when things are slow and you can get a good job below the going rate like on a insurance job.
