Is it just me or does the cut-out for the steering box in the crossmember look scary.....

Nice 25! Yes, Since that steering box is moved rearward further than typical that upper frame will crack within a year, I would add a 3/16" plate from the left frame horn about 6" towards the middle, and box the through hole that the box goes through the frame. HTH John Pardi

look on page one and you will see the frame is boxed in at the gear box. I was told to do this by Proffitt's cruisers. I dont think there will be any problems once I install a new front bumper.

Just browsing and ran into this thread WOW!! That is some nice body work there, the paint inside the tub looks like the paint that was used inside the trunk on early gm cars it looks real cool!!
