It's a inter-metro shelf. 18"x48 and comes in silver too. It's on sale right now for $19.99. The drawer is made for the inter metro line and it too is on sale right now for $19.99. All from the Container Store. They have some good accessories and options. They make shelf liners and even solid metal shelves that are quite stout (checked em out in person). On the site they also list a drawer/shelf. It looks intriguing but might have to drop it down a little too low to get the best use of it. What I like best about the inter metro stuff is the 1" lip all around not to mention it feels quite heavy duty. Btw, secured the drawer shut with a carabiner/bungee combo otherwise it tends to slide open when accelerating.

Was on the fence about how to secure it to the grab bars so I went with the zip ties instead of a bracket. In the event of needing the headroom the shelf is remove able with a couple of snips with the scissors.

For all the folks using zip ties I would recommend using hose clamps to attach to the grab handles like Phil did. You don't need custom brackets but freaking zip tieso_O? Com'on man:slap:

Saw the pics using the clamps and found them to look quite clunky. Like they belong under the hood. They are definitely effective but a large clear zip tie is more than strong enough for this this application and becomes invisible once clipped and rotated to hide the buckle behind the grab handle while it consequently blends with the nebulous gray/tan color of the upper portion of the interior.

I started with zip ties for testing purposes ONLY!

We'll just leave the whole "zip ties are strong enough" debate up to natural selection to sort out.:flipoff2:

If you are going to use zip ties at least use T&B ....The smallest bag will cost more then the SS hose clamps

Thanks for the tip, I went to the local Container Store and picked one up. Already got the dog's portable bowl, a couple of chairs, and some bungee cords up there. All with a total of 6 zip ties holding it up. I might add a couple of more but I think it's plenty strong and I like how quick I can cut it out if I need to put the third row seating in.

I linked the original heavy duty stuff in the first post. I cant see anyone needing anything stronger.

The gridwall is nice (strong, light), but the shelving option has a few advantages over that if you need them. The shelves have a lip to prevent stuff from falling as easily, have a tighter grid to stop stuff from falling through, and come in narrower widths which should help the head clearance of the second row. Plus it is easier to find a simple 4' shelf in your local HD or Lowes than it is to get grid wall. The grid wall is nice if you want the full 2' width (hard to find shelves that deep). Grid wall may be stronger (but probably not as stiff due to the lip) since it uses larger diameter wires/rods, so that could be a deciding factor for some - although, how much do you really want to suspend above your head in case of an accident?

I agree, I chose the shelf option because of the tighter pattern, my doggies bowl would likely fall through the more open design, and then he would be thirsty and mad.............:crybaby:

Anyone have bowing issues at the center of their Home Depot shelving style racks?
Yeah. Also had a rattle issue on one end. Thats why I opted for the intermetro shelf. Added stability of added lip.

Received and installed the intermetro. Much better. Highly recommend.

I picked up a $19.99 metro shelf at HD today. It's the 48x18 two lip version. Very heavy duty but chrome, which is gross. I will have to paint it. Bought some metal and U bolts as well to bolt it up. Nice little project for the weekend.

Someone needs to come up with something to do with the round holes on the ends.
