Last week I drove down to South GA to buy this truck as a project (either a 1FZ-FE rebuild or a 2UZ-FE swap). I overestimated my capacity for time and need to part with these.
I'd love to keep the 80 and develop products for them but I just don't have anywhere to put it (it's still on a trailer).
I have a 1998 Lexus LX470 with motor, trans, and t-case plus all the other extras (i.e. wiring harnesses, ECUs, etc) needed to swap a 2UZ-FE into an 80 series.
If someone is interested in purchasing both, here's all the info I have on them:
1997 Lexus LX450:
Champagne Pearl paint - 1B1
Good
1998 Lexus LX470:
Woodland Pearl paint - 6R1
Would be a perfect 2UZ-FE swap pair for someone willing to put in the time and money.
I need $5000 for the 1997 LX450 and $1,500 for the 1998 LX470.
$6,000 takes both vehicles as they are. Both vehicles have clear titles.
'97 LX450 is currently still loaded on my trailer. I can deliver it to you somewhere within the southeast for an extra charge (let's chat).

- 277,845 original miles
- southern vehicle, zero undercarriage rust
- all electrical working (except mirrors)
- sunroof opens & closes
- seats have been recovered
- complete. haven't found a single part missing
- all Toyota glass (even windshield, no cracks)
- three (3x) original keys (1x valet, 2x ignition)
- head gasket blown two weeks ago
- PO started to disassemble engine leaving a mess of parts in the trunk
- rust spot on hatch (see photos)
- damage multipliers have done their worst (see photos)
- mold stained interior
- mirrors inop.
- steering wheel leather torn
- LH front seat seam needs to be restitched
- knuckles leaking
- chassis bushings all original
- LH front door handle broken
- LH front seatback tilt adjust missing a part (still operational)
- RH front seat will not move forward/back (probably needs seat gears and new motor)
- 4-speed shift knob leather torn
- PO removed the battery
- Paint is 50/50
1998 Lexus LX470:
Woodland Pearl paint - 6R1
- 293,419 miles
- AISIN timing belt kit used
- runs & drives
- 2WD currently. removed front differential assembly
- some surface rust
- body is toast
- interior is toast (literally- someone set off fireworks in the back seat)
- AHC disabled
