There is a company I work with that wants to make me all the rubber pieces that are on a 45. I need 2 sets and 1 set for a 40 so I am going to get them and see if they are as good fitting as they are good looking. They are stock replacement but brand newly made!

What I need to know is what pieces are the most needed? I can also get complete rubber kits with all the pieces if anyone wants those, I would if I were doing a complete restoration myself. However I know there are a lot of little pieces everyone needs and I would like to get them coming.

I think the most important thing here would be quality. There are some aftermarket stuff that's very good, some that "work" and others that are just plain bad.

For example: The rubber windshield vent flap on early 40 series are available aftermarket but I've been through 3 in 8 years. I have a NOS OEM one but I'm saving that.

I have checked the quality personally and the company has been in business for over 30 years so that says something. Of course the fact that we stand behind everything we sell goes without saying.

What I am doing with this first batch is testing the fit.

I would certainly be into a full set for the cab. I am restoring a 1965 FJ45 LBP removable top truck right now.

The rubber that goes between the upper and lower cab on an LBP woule be great.

I am working on a long bed now so I will check the fit with it, my COO Dave Silva has a pretty perfect 40 that we will test on also. They make kits for both.

How about tailgate bumpers? Oem part # 66321-95010, no longer available from Toyota and are different than the 66321- 95016.

How about the windshield defrost hoses' 2 elbows and 2 connector cuffs? These have been NLA for some time now.

The taillight gasket for the older two color lens has also been NLA for some time. I cobbled mine together from the newer/larger 3 color lens that is still available.

I am trying to get a good idea of just what people need, at this point I am thinking most people could really use everything if at a fair price.
