AntFj - I am pretty certain your rear tub support is going to look identical or worse than mine. The support is very expensive So I am crossing my fingers you can reuse your corner pieces and fab the center but I am not sure that is going to be an option. Check out my thread for I was fairly detailed on how I went about it or I can remember I think it was Coolerman that I mimiced for the most part. I also added pics of where the spot welds were so you shouldnt have to guess. Then again if yours is like mine the rust has pushed them enough to dimple the tub where the spot welds are

Glad to see it going back together!!!

just find someone that has a junk tub that that part is good... I just gave one away that would have worked perfectly for this... I cant be the only one that had one laying around

true... i'll post up in the wanted section. i kind of wanted to replace it with an earlier model sill anyways since my soft top uses the barn doors and i don't need the later style striker anymore..

omg that's a landcruiser!!!

so i started putting everything together to ensure fitment because everything is well.. from different vehicles..

i put 2 coats of epoxy primer on all of the misc body panels so they wouldn't rust in the elements.

the SOR fenders (bought them from a guy who bought them new several years ago) fit really well to my surprise except for the passenger fender is a little off... i think this might have to do with the fact i had to drill out the four frame bolts which were broken off, and then tap the whole a size up.. leaving not too much wiggle room - not quite sure how i'm going to fix that one yet.

pakistani bows fit really well.. a little nervous about the rear doors fitting but that is another day.

more pics... soft top and doors went on very well.

had to drill out the holes in the doors to get the soft tops to slide in.
had to space the striker plates with two washers but the doors open and close awesome!

i did tear the top a bit:whoops: but i should be able to repair it nicely with the extra material ehsan provided. (PS I REALLY WISH I WANT VINAL :( ...I'll have a full time job soon for at least 13 years so I'll find some spare $$ in there to upgrade.

the amby doors are going on tomorrow.

antFJ - SWEET!!! That is awesome. It is looking great. I also had the whole frontend alignment issues and it is a huge back and forth game with the hood, the tub, and the front clip which is basically bolted together and there isnt as much play as I found with the tub and hood.

been awhile since i updated my build thread.. just got back to working on my cruiser after a lil bit of a break.. went to FL for a while.

Took the truck back apart and started replacing metal.. i'm not very good at making templates and my welds aren't very good but it penetrates and nothing a little filler can't fix.

Like it's never going to end?!?!?!

Dude: you're so close to driving the thing and picking up all the chicks it's scary.

Those rear doors seriously bring teh sexy!

You're positively flying through the bodywork back there. Maybe you're more motivated than I am in my nice spacious shop. :grinpimp:

yea i guess I am moving pretty quick.. I hope to have the passenger side fender done by friday.. then on to the four jumpseat mounts on the inner fenders which are toast. Two repairs on each of the rocker panels and I should be done with getting new metal in :)
