Nice Pig

That is a beautiful cruiser. Stock wheels would look great. We have 33-9.50 BFGs and like them a lot. Our lift is about 2".

I love seeing Nebula Green Pigs! I see what mine will look like when I paint it...

How wide are your wheels?

Just for you, PabloCruise:

Thanks!

Looks like the factory belt, just never seen them mounted to the B Pillar, always seen them mounted here:

Has that headliner been replaced? Wondering about that trim piece over the door openings...

Not that I am aware of. That trim piece wraps around the entire length of the interior, not just over the doors. I'll ask about that.

The tailgate can be opened using a key in the tailgate safety switch (located in the top, middle of the tailgate itself. has a small 'door' over the key hole).

This switch should be engaged/locked, and ignition key set to ACC for the switch on the dash to work.

Hope this helps, please let me know if you have any questions.

SOR.com has diagrams. I did find this thread which has some good info:

Thanks Gibran! Very interesting. Does the tailgate work, or should I be doing something different?

Fabulous Pig! Congratulations. I think that you should stay sprung under, with 33s and stock wheels for at least the life of one set of tires while you learn to wheel it.
I wonder what kind of interesting situations (don't want to say "problems") you may find with converting to discs with a RHD vehicle...
Check again for that noisy lifter after doing the exhaust manifold. Sometimes an exhaust leak sounds very much like a valve-train knock.
Forget about the stock bench seat, they're awful. If you gotta have a bench, go aftermarket. Did you see that comfy looking bench-type thing Mark A has in the 55 classifieds? Something like that might be good...
Now, when you ask about driver's door this & that...is that your driver's door? Our passenger door? I got plenty of OUR passenger door hinges and regulators, If what you need is rightfrontdoor stuff, let me know. Leftfrontdoor I got not so much of.
You must be living a good life and going to church every week to find a Pig like that. Keep it up.
(:flipoff2:)

It's my driver/your passenger door that I am looking for parts for. I also just bought a tie rod kit from cool cruisers. Do you think that will be a problem (situation) as well?

Buying anything from CCOT is a crapshoot...

I've never had a problem with them on this kind of stuff. They will tell you they have FJ55 specific parts, but when they show up they are never right, but only on FJ55 specific junk. However, a 2F exhaust manifold gasket should be very straight forward.

Sure, it's hard to screwup a manifold gasket. But I don't like to cut corners on steering or brakes. And I've seen and heard enough about chinese crap coming from Texas that I stopped ordering from them. There are plenty of reputable vendors, here on 'Mud, that supply the right parts, of OEM quality at a fair price.
I much prefer to support them. I simply cannot recommend CCOT for tierodends, brake cylinders, or anything important.
Just my two cents.

Sorry, I was just being facetious and not answering your question...
It has been a long time since I worked on a stock steering setup, but isn't there a TRE on the tierod that has a hole for the relay rod? Probably you can just turn everything around and it will work...
Also, I found, when I ordered a set of TREs (from the dealer), they came with tierods too. Apparently there was a change somewhere along the line and a number got superseded or something. And old TREs don't work new tierods. Or vice-versa.
Also, rumor has it that Toyota made more RHD pigs than LHD pigs, worldwide. therefore, some pics in the manuals show the RHD setups.

Well, good to know. I figured just turning everything around would work, but that's too simple to work right. Only time will tell, and I'll keep you informed. As fat as specific vendors, which ones would you trust the most?
thanks, Andy

Kurt, Lance, Mark, Jim C., C.Dan...just to name a handful off the top of my head.
Georg too.
