He should have had someone proof-read that letter for him. :D

That's the thing... If he had hired attornies to sue everybody, why not have the attorney handle such unpleasantries? That's usually their job.

At the very least they wouldn't blackmail anybody!!

I'm in for the legal fund! Someone needs to be careful who they tread on.

Please do not send any money to anybody for a "Save Ferris" legal fund. Thanks anyway!

But I wouldn't mind a root beer float, out here in the "tool shed" while working on straightening out this old FJ40.

Jim, no matter what folks say and do here, we are on this forum because of our love for LC's.

This underhanded deception to make a buck is downright distasteful.

Thanks for shedding light on this.

Perhaps his family members didn't want to defend a creep with the same last name. :D

Interesting to see he had a public defender his last go 'round.

I'm guessing a lot of bluff.

Maybe he married his public defender...

I have never met nor spoken with Jim but this thread makes me wish I would have sent my carb to be fixed in his tool shed rather than go through it myself. If there is a need for a legal fund I am in.

So, is "Auto Appraisals & Pre-Buy Inspections" the name of the business Brett Young has in Benton, Washington?

Oh Pighead, do you know where one could pick up a nice engine for my piggie? Since we can't get pistons anymore I'm thinking something like a 427, I seem to remember someone mentioning a purveyor of vintage muscle car engines? Maybe some Mopar performance?

You know that nothing ever really gets deleted from the internet.

I'm going back to tech...

As far as I see it Brett, this is the court of the cruiser heads you have stepped into, no need to waste tax payer dollors tieing up this stupid little problem you have with a guy fixing things up in his tool shed. Prove you did nothing wrong, and there is no issue, Jim will look foolish for trying to pin some shoddy work on you and life will go on. Most cruiser people are a tight bunch and we look after each other, and if there is a problem we point it out to other family members so they don't step in the same pile that just dirtied our shoe. If you are worried your business will go down, don't worry we are a pretty small bunch, the rest of the unsuspecting people out there not connected in the cruiser world are still out there and ready to buy whatever you want to shine up to sell them (assuming this is what you do, unless you can prove otherwise).

And thing is, I really don't think you did anything wrong, as any rich a****** usually gets ahead on the back of other good people, so you are just following the path society has set up for us to get rich, although your methods are a little more sketchy. While it is your right to get ahead, it is our right to help our brothers not get caught by the "shining a turd" (as crushers like to call it) scam.

Don't worry about the mob mentality of mud chat, everybody has to deal with it at some point, but really you can turn the tide if you have nothing to hide, please do not try to take this from us by taking it to the court system, because that will only feed the fire and our community against you.

good luck buddy
