Cruiser karma is a bitch.....for those who beleive.

I think it would be pretty easy to set up a few "ringers" to catch this guy------Of course he'll see this but--never know when or where.

Thanks all for the legal advice, fortunately every male in my family is an attorney as well as my wife, so I think I'm covered.

Yep, that says a lot, your surrounded by pathological liars. Owned 700 cruisers hey, wow you must have really liked them to have so many! Wanker. Cruiser Karma will claim you eventually.

Some people create so many fantasies for themselves that they lose the ability to distinguish the truth.

Thank you for posting the link to my old Myspace account, it only validates the cruisers and what I have said. Those pics are from 2005-09, if you check my photobucket link you can see the cruisers from 09-present. I left the myspace open for everyone to see, I'm not in hiding. I looked over this thread again, there is not 1 person on here I've met in person. I'm a forum newbie, I see most of this "mob mentality" as an outsider and ridiculous. I made a statement yesterday with many pictures of the vehicle in question, I do appreciate the emails from past customers and friends asking if they can help out on this forum, but I ask that you just ignore this drama, there is really no sense in arguing with tough guys behind their computer.

Just because you may have owned/ possessed 700 Land Cruisers in your short life span doesn't mean that your work is well enough to justify a 5 figure sale price.

Then again it might, I don't really know. I do know that Jim has a stellar reputation on this side of the country and until this thread it apears not many have heard of you. With your past following you around like a shadow it creates a blurry line of truth.

Do check the photo links posted by Brett Young. That is exactly what the FJ40 looked like when it arrived here.

Note the missing bolts in the air cleaner, the missing rubber grommeted air cleaner wingnuts (which allowed the air cleaner to collect water, and was rusting the dirty old filter element), the missing bolts in the top corners of the hardtop, the incorrect skinny fan belt, tiny incorrect battery...

The pictures of the truck here in Ohio will be posted in the tech thread, to confirm it is the same truck.

I've got to say, looking at the photobucket pix, the truck overall looks very nice, and I can see how the CO could be seduced. But I suppose that's the point, isn't it ?

i find it interesting that there was no comment from Brett about selling bogus engines to unsuspecting buyers and the time spent behind bars ...
maybe he learned his leason and he is a reformed individual now ???
but
that cruiser doesn't look like a 5 figure restoration, it doesn't even pass as a low budget refurbishment, it would make an okay parts truck though. (my apologies to the CO)

Due to overwhelming emails asking me to show my work here it is, I've taken the passwords off the accounts. Many misconceptions and assumptions posted on here that are laughable, I'm not going to address each remark made. The vehicle is question was sold around the 30k mark not 50k.
Photobucket link check out the sub-albums

My facebook check out the troopy album, that does not sell for 30k, if you want that it costs much more.

Obviously Jim is doing some backtracking from the serial scammer accusations he started off with to missing grommets, Hopefully last response I have to make, don't think I could do any more. Once again everyone can see my extensive sight unseen high dollar sales on eBay, and the work on the picture links. eBay name fj40man79 I'm no forum bad ass, I don't spend time on these boards, Jim the carburetor man and a forum lifer or whatever the popular kid term for this site is, really not my cup o tea. I ask everyone to please give a guy a chance to respond before crucification and make ridiculous accusations regarding past issues I have no part in. In closing, I have all receipts and proof done to Jim's customer vehicle, I hope he has a nice suit, he will need it.

Like I said, with your felonious past and the accusation from a well respected land cruiser specialist you can talk s*** all you want. You have a really blurry line of truth to overcome.

You want to redeem yourself?

Start by working out a fair settlement with the CO of the truck... If you feel one is not due, tell us why.

I'm sure Jim or the CO will post it if you do.

I have all receipts and proof done to Jim's customer vehicle

I would be interested in seeing the receipt for the transmission/transfer case rebuild, as well as the engine rebuild...

here is the issue at hand. you sold a vehicle that was "restored".
which leads to the question, what exactly is YOUR definition of "restoration"
as we can see in this thread:
http://s953.photobucket.com/albums/ae11/fj40man79/78 FJ40 Completed Dec 11/#!cpZZ4QQtppZZ16
it sure is a purdy vehicle but once you go below the veneer of the vehicle it was not a restoration or even a decent refurbishing. in our trade, that is called "polishing a turd". many shops do just that but that doesn't make it right to call a "polishing" a restoration or even a refurbishment.
but
it is obvious that YOUR definition of "restoration" is exactly that, "polishing a turd".

Brett, you keep missing or ignoring the pointed questions. are you the guy selling the scrap yard engines as rebuilt hypro engines to unsuspecting peeps? simple Yes or No will suffice.

did you do time for fraud? simple Yes or No.

with your supposed track record, i can understand why members from Mud and the Land Cruiser community in general are leary of your credibity.

I ask everyone to please give a guy a chance to respond before crucification and make ridiculous accusations regarding past issues I have no part in. In closing, I have all receipts and proof done to Jim's customer vehicle,

OK, I have an open mind. Mr.C posted a pic of a transmission and transfer case that alledgedley came out of the Current owner's vehicle. Would you be willing to post a scan of the receipt for that rebuild? It certainly would add credibility to your claim that Mr. C. is indeed a lying, conniving, thieving SOB, who is simply trying to make his boat payment.
Would also be interested in the rebuild date of that engine, and where it was built?
You have some good looking rigs in those pics, wish my rig looked that good.
