All windows very slow in cold weather...

I heard that Pencil Graphite works good to, just mill as much of graphite powder as necessary and apply on the area that you think that is causing the window to go slow and that should do it. Good luck.

I did all 4 window motors with aftermarket, cleaned channels and scissors, and greased the poop out of everything. Still slow windows. New runs are all that's left. I really think the relay upgrade is my next step as voltage seems to play a HUGE part.

I agree on the voltage. I've heard all the other options considered and tried to no avail...I have not seen where anyone has gone after what seems to be a voltage issue. Has anyone tested at the motor to see what voltage it is actually getting to compare it to what it should be?

Replaced all my runs with new ones. Old ones are s***ty when it rains here, hard rubber as it showed.

So far so good.

Def not- the prob

I wouldn't save definitely, but I would say probably not the problem. So go ahead, test and report.

Make sure you measure voltage when the motor is under load, otherwise it won't be a meaningful measurement.

I presume those are the part numbers for the new window channels? One person is saying all four windows done for $200, and another is saying $65 each window. Which is it? Maybe cdan has the best price?

These are the part numbers and prices I paid for all 4 window runs just a couple days ago, haven't received them yet, should be here next Tuesday.

I took some measurements while the window lift motors were operating out of the vehicle but the results were inconclusive. The old motor and the new motor both drew about the same amps, but the old motor could not wind the regulator all the way up (which is the down direction) against the spring tension of the regulator.

What we need is a test fixture where the output torque of window lift motors could be measured.

I also played around with the windows tonight and took one of the runs out. The drivers side rear window is my worst window so I started there I carefully removed the run bc it's very hard and brittle feeling. Once removed I heated it up with a hair drier while wiping all the crud and lube out of the inside. Once it was cleaned and warmed up a bit it was a lot more pliable and new feeling. I then dowsed it with armor all to try and bring back some of the rubbery qualities. This seemed to work pretty good. The rubber definitely softened up a lot and now my window rolls down and up all the way. It's still slow but it makes the trip all the way down and all the way up with out getting stuck. I think I'll try it again tomorrow while I have more time and see if I can get more of the oil to penetrate.

Are these the CDan prices

They are not cdan prices, but are likely very close to what he charges. List price was about $22 more for each run.

Got updated shipping details, should be here Monday. My driver side front is the worst, requires manual assistance to go up. Hopefully this will be the fix.
