Your next post had better start with..."Well, I went and picked it up last night..." or you will be:ban:

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

About 10 yrs ago I passed up a 78 for $2500, BIG mistake on my part, it was even red.

Buy it. You would be suprised with the F engines. We picked up a rusted out shell of a fj40 from a junk yard that had been sitting for years. 15 minutes after we got it home the engine was running. Besides its worth more than 2k even if you just part it out. Lots of guys looking for 45 parts

Hey everyone. This truck sparked a lot more interest than I had expected. I used to see a few of these driving around so I didn't think they were that rare. I'm super busy with work and school and haven't decided what to do yet. I'm working on trying to figure out a way to buy and store this thing till I have more time to restore it. It seems to be a good candidate for a resto.

I've only seen the same pics I posted. My dad went to look at it. It is brown spray paint, although there is probably some rust under it. It also has quite a few dings and dents. The other problem is that it's owned by a guy who rents the property to a friend of my dad's friend, so every question takes a while to get any info back and it's kind of a convoluted info chain. What I do know is that it hasn't been registered since 1989, it's parked with other broke down cars, and it's kinda hidden from any main road on a rental property so I don't think it's going anywhere soon. I'm going to try to take a closer look at it on Thanksgiving.

I've had quite a few PMs about it. At this point I'm still working on figuring out how to buy it. I'm interviewing for a new job which might increase the income which will help. The wife said I have to sell my fj40, which I'm considering. It hasn't left the driveway in a year. Anyway if I don't buy it I'll do what I can to make sure someone who respects the cruiser zen gets it and it doesn't spend the next 20 years rusting in the woods.

Don't make me PayPal you $1,500. Find a way.

I probably would go pick that up if you passed on it for that price.

Dan

You will need to race me Dan. :grinpimp:

Buy it, dang it, or face months of regret. I'd drain the bank account if I found a decent FJ45 for $1500.
