Man that really sucks about Black Bear and Poughkeepsie especially for a guy coming all the way from south GA.:(

They could still get clear. Things change very quickly up there. I think they got more stuff cleared quicker than originally anticipated. Once Imogene is clear, they can allocate all their resources to Black Bear (which is a big tourism draw). Poughkeepsie though, I think that one ain't happening this year. We should be able to at least access Lake Como from the intersection of California/Hurricane though. The Wall might be accessible as well. I just don't see the lower portion being cleared.

It does appear that a lot is opening up. A couple will be game time decisions. We hope it all opens, but this year has been crazy as far as snowpack!!
I think everyone will be stoked, even if we can’t get to a couple of the trails. The entire area is pretty amazing.

Pics yesterday from Corkscrew. Avalanche field was incredible. The power of moving snow and ice... And Poughkeepsie and picayune look like glaciers at the moment.

The gifts for Chris and Stan have arrived! Thanks to all who helped out this year! If you still want to help out, there is room! There are some add-ons that we are hoping to get with the neato gifts! Send me a DM here, find me on Facebook or add a message to money sent via PayPal. This year has been really great as far as participation. The guys should be really excited to see we have come up with this year!

Im simply stoked to be in Silverton with a hundred other 100's- I don't really care if all the trails don't open up- just looking to enjoy some Mountain air and good people.

Amen brother! If me and my boy end up only fishing for a day or two while we are there, it will still be an awesome trip!

Also, I am trying to find out if Silverton has any public laundry facilities. I can’t remember if it does, and I Google isn’t bringing much up. Does anyone know if there is a place to a load of laundry? I think my trip is going to be extended both before and after HIH this year and being to wash stuff would be nice!

I think the RV park next to us has laundry facility-

How about those CBs? Tuned and ready to go? ;) :D
Got my Lil Wil in the mail yesterday. Midland 75-822 cb coming tomorrow. I'll need some help at camp Wednesday tuning it. Is there a standard way you guys usually run the antenna cable? Can't believe I'll use it much other than this trip and other trail rides in future.

What antenna are you using? Mine is ran under the carpet from my rear mounted antenna mount up to the center console area.

I promise I don't argue with everyone in person... it's just on the internet when I am bored. Really looking forward to seeing everyone again this year.

I'll be there fairly early on Wed and I can help you tune and get it set up.

If you are just using it for the weekend we can find a decently tidy place to run the cable. For permanent installs I'd go under the carpet and under the kick panels in the door sills when possible.

Double check that you have all the connectors you need for the antenna coax, sometimes you'll need PL-259 female - female adapters. Cheap but not something easy to find in a pinch

Thank you. I'll be looking for you.

Just a Lil Wil magnetic one.

Last year, I just shut the door on the cable and ran it down the passenger seat and over to the center console. Worked just fine for me. Also, did not tune and didn’t seem to have any issues. I’m no expert by any means, but plug and play was fine for me.

GAMAVITI always has the best beer.......

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, GAMIVITI ALWAYS HAS THE BEST BEER!!!!

How much beer do you guys bring for potluck?

I'll probably bring a six pack, last year there was crazy amounts of beer. I'll have a case of something local at camp for sharing throughout the weekend. Cool opportunity to try beers from all over the place and talk about cruisers
