if they are brown, and i think they are, i have a complete jack and crank in excellent shape sitting here that i would be willing to donate to the refurbishment.
i might even have a tool kit kicking around somewhere.
I'm sure I have a box of handles, kit bags and tools but they are all a bit weathered. I'll dig em up and you can have it all and see what you can refurbish.
Thats pretty much the same stuff that came with my 92 FJ80, and my 60 series. Even the bag looks the same.
Also have some spares of that set if you need, though sounds like bruce or charla have more available.
Edit: I do got the toyota screw driver and I think there was a metal clip somewhere not shown in that picture. There is also a couple toyota wrenches floating around my shop (8+10mm, and maybe 12+14mm).
Both my '83 and my 84 FJ40s came with the tools you show in the first set of tool photos, but the bag looks like the 40 series bag shown in the second set sitting on the 40 series seat.
The drawback to the LX with its plastic interior lining is that the jack does not have the nifty little holder like the non-lx but rather sits on the floor under the 60 side of the 60/40 bench seat taking up space which should be available to other things.
Nice car, I am convincing a friend of mine he needs one, but his bank account is nagging him (these are expensive here...)

I like the double cabs;
If this was not on the other side of the globe I would go right now;

If one of you fellas with the spare jack parts are willing, I need the jack rod with the hooked end and a cast handle to finish off my set. I would like to purchase them!
I was thinking more of the jack and bars at first. I didn't really think the later 40 series had the full tool kit with wrenches, plier etc. I do have some Toyota tools that I got of ebay last year. I also have a tool bag that I got from a late 80's pickup at the wrecker.
I also have one of these tool boxes. I got this one from mot before he left Japan. It was one that was too rough for him to sell mainstream and I was willing to refirb it. I am going to bead blast it and straighten it up a bit and then powder coat it. Might do it silver/ pewter with the front bumper and the rear bumper thingies.
I started the repair of the rear doors. I began by taking a look at the rusted area and devised a plan.
At work I sheared some strips of 18ga and formed two different parts from them. The door outer skins wrap around the inners with what we call a hem. The inner panel goes inside but has a larger radius to the bend. It is also a few degrees less than 90.
I cleaned and scraped and sanded the remaining internal surface rust as much as possible and sprayed a rust encapsulating coating liberally several times. This stuff is thin and so I let it run into all the nooks and tight spots. I'll let it dry overnight and begin welding tomorrow.
