I will post a parts list here after the install is done. This has been an insanely expensive project due to the inflation going on. Looking forward to yanking the old one and fitting the new heart

Old heart is out!!!! What a PITA! It took about 5 hours to pull the old one but I was able to do so without cutting any wires or breaking the gasket seals on anything!!!

Also, if any of you are looking for a solid 4.5L with the tranny, hit me up

This was another PITA. There are two bolts you need to switch out when using the marks adapter. This would have been nice
To know or if they just provided the bolts since this was $1600. I ended up breaking one of the bolts which I now have to extract. Shouldn’t be a big deal but just another thing to do.

Cutting the output shaft wasn’t bad btw
Since I had a 2Wd tranny. It didn’t come with instructions(weird) so I put It all together and ended up cutting the shaft to 3 1/2” off the tranny. She mates up perfect with about 1/2” of wiggle room between the output shaft, the sleeve, and the t case.

Can you show a picture with ruler 📏 📐 how/where you measured from. I'll be behind you in a few months with a LQ4 and 4L80e. Thanks in advance.

Which two bolts? I was planning on using the GM bolts, and not the bolts provided.

You will need to get two replacement bolts size 12mm with a 1.25 pitch. I can’t remember the exact length but when I get home tomorrow, I will post a pic with the output shaft length as well.

so top to bottom,
1: the output shaft sleeve to go from the tranny through the adapter to the to t case
2:That is the length of the 4L80E output shaft to the seal of the marks adapter.
3: measurement of the output shaft sleeve protruding past the adapter

The last one my finger is point to the t case ring that slides into the seal. You only have about 3.5” of play total and so not wanting to have them bottom out at all, I cut the shaft 1/2” short so I have 1/4” play between the OG output shaft and my t case. Instructions for this were super hard to find so I winged it…like most of my stuff

So far I am not impressed with with marks adapter. I needed to buy 2 bolts the kit didn’t come with and now I have to fab a bracket for the Hi Lo shift lever mount. It is advertised as a “bolt in kit” no the case

And I need to find 4 bolts now to mount the bracket to the adapter

Have you been looking at the "8x Series V8 Swaps" form? I think they mention this a few times.
