80 vs H3 trail off

a fair comparison would be a locked FJC vs a locked H3, that's true.

however, this thread was started by a 80 owner who is renting a H3. it's natural to compare since this is his perspective.

WELL SAID!

I can also tell you this:

Take a STOCK unlocked H3 and compare to a STOCK unlocked 80 and STOCK unlocked 100 (no AHC) and the H3 WILL EAT THE CRUISERS LUNCH!

Crappy approach and departure angles on the Cruisers alone will stop them in their tracks while the H3 fairs on.

Well, we are about to compare a built locked 80 against a stock rental H3, and that's a lot more fun than comparing anything stock to stock.

I'm not so much interested in how the H3 performs as much as I'm interested to see what LT is willing to do to it, and how much CS can goad him on

True. It should be fun to watch. Things about the H3 though should surprise him. What hurts it will be the factory tires. To bad some AT KO's aren't on it.

Fair? Yes

Comparable? No. H3 has it hands down.

Zip it. This thread has to be Christmas for you. Another vehicle vs vehicle. Give us all a break and not say anything at least for one day.

Now I could care less about pics. I want pics of carnage. I want to see pics of the 80 jumping the H3 with Rick hanging out the back window raising hell. Show me this and you have made my year.:D

This thread is fun. Lets keep it that way

Hmmm, would like to see something like this....

I actually know that spot very well on the above picture. This a picture of my old samurai on the miller heep trail. Notice the back round. That little sami rocked I miss it!:crybaby:

I see that. So that H2 lost it where your front Sami wheels are....then rolled once over down the hill. ???

I don't think the H2 tipping picture is Miller Jeep Trail.

actually i don't think it's a comparison between creepersleeper's built 80 vs. the H3, more like landtank taking his experience with his truck, knowing what it is capable of, knowing how it was stock, and now comparing that to a stock rig marketed as a off-road superior machine.

We'll see what the tank says when he gets back.

Aaahhh, China Wall. I've spent much time on that trail and since the subject includes Hummers, I figured I'd include a pic or two. I've had my H1, FJ40 and FZJ80 all on the trail and they were all fun. I've also gone over all the obstacles with all of them.

The 40 is not locked and had the most trouble with the last obstacle but made it.

The Hummer was also not locked but the traction control system was awesome and it drove like it was once the computer figured out what was going on and rerouted torque. It really is a thing to behold.

The 80 made it (it was wet so the entrance was a mud hole) in stock form with not much trouble other than the crap tires not hooking up (it was before the 37"s went on). Unfortunately no pics of that...

I can't believe that after all the times I went up there with the Hummer I didn't have a picture going up the last obstacle so I included one in the area of the other "Hummer" picture. That obstacle used to be a lot harder until someone moved the rocks around.

Anyways,, looking forward to the rest of the story LT.
