...or you could just start w/ a Jeep Rubicon unlimited and have the SFA, lockers, coilsprings & trac control... then start the mods.
H3 isn't making too much sense in comparison... well, I guess it has the V8 option...just in time for $4/gal prices:doh:

100% true. Same holds for the FJC too though, reliability aside. The Wrangler is the king!

Yes I agree, you have done a heck of a job with your 100. When my 80 is no longer a DD. I am going to look into a 100 series.
Dave

Thanks Dave....but since this is the 80 forum and I give these guys crap, let me throw something back to them. :D

It's obvious I prefer my 100 over my 80's about 95% of the time. It gets the job done on all the trails while being sooooooo much nicer while it's doing it. Then there's the drive to and from the trailhead! No comparison.

I will say (despite the hell I went through aking my LX450 trail ready) that the 80 will never leave my garage. The few added benefits it offers over the 100 (SFA, smaller size, bigger lift) makes it THE choice for those nasty-ass trails even though they are far and few between. OK 80 dudes.....show some love! :D

Well, it was a fun trip with Landtank! That little H3 did pretty good for a stocker... and we tried some difficult trails. The conditions were awful: typical OR baby crap mud that is about 2" deep and slimy and wet rocks. LT had his work cut out for him, but I know that I had a good time! I will be getting pics up on here ASAP... Or as soon as you guys get back on topic! :flipoff2:

haha, isn't that accent just great or what?!! :D

i took another look around the truck and realized that the side step on the drivers side with a big dent wasn't from me. :frown:. Yes that right, this nice caved in section of tubing has a flawless shine and not a scratch to be seen in the chrome finish. Not my doing at all, just a result of terrible build quality at the factory.

well I just returned the truck and no questions asked. I've got to do this more often! The trail that I didn't complete and turned around on was definitely what I would consider and intermediate trail. No shame for any stock truck to do that as far as I'm concerned.

One on road thing that really bugged me was the constant shifting of the tranny. One the accelerator was about half way down it would down shift and then up shift as soon as you let off a little. I thought that might come into play once off road but it didn't.

Lets go Chad, get those pics and videos up.

Awesome! That was the only thing that I was worried about.

It's true. I would have turned around too. My 80 was having issues with the slime fully locked.

As for the pics and vids, I'm just waiting on Aaron...

You've not seen bent 80 and 100 side steps?

You shut up poorly...

Do you know how to use the multiquote feature?!?
Post padding, just trying to be annoying, or both?

You shut up poorly...
True dat...:bang:

Thanks for the award guys. I'm honored. Really. It sets me apart from so many of you readers.

I'd rather receive this award than be of the "brainwashed" mentality where I concluded that nothing will ever be as good as an 80-series Cruiser.
