Sage advice....

If I’m going to pull the T-case/Trans I might as well do it in one fell swoop. I have some shop time lined up and the use of a four post. The Mules been weeping at the seams and it just seems fitting to make some overdue corrections. Trying to pull everything off in the ^^^ in the next 90 days (+/-).
Pro Tip: make sure the pilot bearing fits the tranny input shaft before you try to stab the tranny.

Good copy. Probably 60-90 days out from execution. I’m sure I’ll be leaning on the shoulders of experience when it comes time to make it a reality.

Spring fishing will be in full swing before you're ready!

LOL...Sounds like you know me pretty well.,,,

Despite overwhelming opinion, I have managed to glean something from my past attempts at project management.
This go round, I’m driving the mule until the day it goes in for a transplant. If I have to drag it in the shop with a dozer and hoist it with a crane onto the lift, SPCA be damned....

Speaking of spring fishing, I’m cleaning up the kit and taking stock of the tackle box...It’s game on.

Sounds about right. I’m starting the H42 rebuild tomorrow. Timing will fluctuate though, because I’m already way behind on assembling a pair of front doors that I didn’t disassemble (missing/wrong parts) and because I continue to delude myself with the idea of efficiency (I have ANOTHER H42/tcase combo to build for @Adarcy)

I gave up the idea of efficiency when it comes to anything related to the “Mule”. Project management was a Phrase I used to make myself feel like I was In control. I’ve traded in that over blown monicker. You see buddy, Now, I’m just a pilgrim in the land of Mud. @rkymtnflyfisher will attest to my “low and slow” approach. I went to swap out a carb once and the mule never budged an inch for a year. One little peek under old bed liner turned into a six year journey.

Soooo, all that’s on my must do list this year, is beat Ryan to a trout stream. Way I see it, with that snow pac and the late run off he’ll be fighting, I’ll have him beat by a solid two weeks.

;)

I thought you were going to say sacrifice a chicken or roll some bones Under a full moon.

Hah, you just have to show the mule you aren’t going to stop until she’s back out on the road.

IOW, that he’s more stubborn than the mule. 😉

We went toe to hoof the other day. “Technically speaking”, I’m back in the saddle.
The next phase of this life long odyssey is being written in Cali...

6-8 weeks and I'll be chuckin dry flies! Better get a move on.

Im fixen’ to mosey....Just talked with a fishing buddy this AM. We agreed to discuss any and all future fishing excursions while on a Chukar/Pheasant hunt....I just need to figure out where the little woman hid my shotgun. 😁

Sniper kit came today. Doing some initial research on fuel pumps.

Reccomendations from the distinguished gallery will be scrutinized for applicability, reliability and cost.

He’s entered the dark side.

I just installed a Tanks Inc in tank module and it isn’t that more $$ than the inline when you factor in the additional filter. It was pretty labor intensive, especially for the first time. For simplicity, ease of install and serviceability, i’d run an inline mounted on the frame rail and not look back.

I’m leaning toward inline.

If you get creative with the filters and some -AN fittings it will be pretty clean looking. Don’t forget you can plug the return at the Sniper and use an external regulator down near the pump to eliminate another line in the engine bay. There are a million ways to do the install, as long as you get 60psi of clean fuel and make sure to do a good job on the wiring, you can’t go wrong. PS, your carb solenoid is ignition +12volts.
