@Mike Shull

Thanks for tagging me! I see that I posted on page 143, but it seems that I lost the thread after that point. I have some catching up to do. It’s amazing to see the final product. I didn’t recognize it in the other thread. Beautiful work.

Thanks, other than the color selection, I can’t take an ounce of credit for it. Full props go to @Atram, @Jdc1 and “Dan the Man” for the PHI/II makeover.

As of late, there’s not much traction on this thread…

Time-energy-$$$ going to the Meade Hall project. And, I’m getting ready to head south for an early spring vacation. So, I thought it was a good idea to rotate the Dino fluid and wear off some excess rubber on the Falken’s today while the Tundra is in for a service recall (back up camera).

In town errands and a trip over to Ohio rounded out a 60 mile or so trek. Mostly it was a two lane saunter at 45-50mph. It seems like the 40-50mph zone is the sweet spot for 2.0. Chugs along nicely in 4th gear on the winding OH farm country 2 lane. Almost seems to glide along….almost! 😉

I even received a ceremonial salute from a guy on a Massey Ferguson. One slow moving inline driver to another. 🫡

Well, if nothing else, I knocked the dust off of the paint. Letting it bask in the morning sun today before tucking it back in the BG.

45-50 is my rig's sweet spot on our 29 mile Sunday Morning Joy Rides :cool:

Since changing the stock differentials to 3.70 my sweet spot is around 50-55 which is nice around here for highways. The problem is that most highways have speeds posted at 55/65, and cars and trucks are whizzing by at 75-85. If you’re in their way…it’s a zig-zag passing maneuver and a dirty look as they fly by. 🖕

Piloting a 40 series on a Jersey highway means you never have to prove your courage to anyone..🫡

Back when the mule was sporting diamond plate I swapped out to 3.70s as well. Top tier mod.

Maybe I should have said “40-50mph is the sweet spot while sipping Ensure”. 😁

I like popping over to Ohio on the secondary roads. Mostly posted @ 45-55mph. But, when I’m on a summer time Tasty Freeze run, I meander through a half dozen or so small towns. This area of OH is rolling hills, farms and two lane byways purpose built for a Sunday drive and a hand dipped cone. Same in WV. If you’ve got the time and are in no great hurry, there’s an entire network of backroads that crawl through some beautiful terrain. Not as expansive as the western states, but it has some merit when it comes to ruggedness. Peak fall colors is prime.

They're admiring your vehicle, with a look and a zig and a zag of appreciation.

The town we lived in, Montgomery Vermont was a prime fall foliage color spot. Along with the many covered bridges the backdrops were always exciting to see. I heard they say rainy or dry weather makes a difference but there were many fall seasons when we’d just wake up on go outside and be amazed. We lived off the mountain road to the ski area and the views were outstanding. I’d move back in a heartbeat…problem is, a $25,000 house in 1975 sells today for $650,000 and up. Now that’s exciting 😳
