I like the layout. Initially I thought you would want boost and EGT together, but I like their locations in the upper outer corners. When you think about it, you’ll be looking mostly at the speedometer and the most obvious location to look where your eyes can pick up quickly is the upper left-hand corner where you have EGT. Smart.

Your giving me more credit for the layout than I deserve. I had boots and EGT together at first and then thought it would make more sense to put temps and pressures together. I’m pretty sure it will change.

Drilled and tapped the manifold for EGT probe. I went with a 10mmx1.0 probe adapter to keep as much as I can metric.

Oil pressure sensor.

Below is oil temp sensor. This is the stock location for oil pressure which I didn’t want to use. It’s a bit low to put a plastic sensor in my opinion and is a well known leak point when the sensor cracks. I had oil spewing out from there on my 80 when it failed so I sealed it with a plug. Also not fun to get a big wrench on when the body and all the other junk is in the way.

Now working on cutting the wires and adding in pigtails.

I got all my sensors and probes from Auber with my gauges.
EGT - TC-KEGT with M10x1 adapter EGT Probe, Exposed Tip [TC-KEGT] - $36.50 : auberins.com, Temperature control solutions for home and industry
Oil/water - PT100A-NPT
Boost - Auber-303
Fuel/Oil Pressure - Auber-P210

Auber sells a warning light/buzzer but it would need a off switch added because it sounds annoying. But I guess that’s the point to get your attention.

Yep, that's what I was describing. Having the light on things would be good, but the warning on everything would get annoying - probably good on low oil pressure or other catastrophic readings, though.

What kind of glove filter is that? Does it give the finger when you let off the throttle?

This may be a little late, but I have been extremely unhappy with the Auber gauges I put in my truck. Both temp gauges failed after slightly more than a year of use (random changes in temp, hitting the gauge face causes the temp to jump hundreds of degrees) and they are difficult to read in sunlight.

I did and they seemed helpful, but the warranty is 1yr so no luck.

More gauge cluster work. Busy week at work so we didn’t get around to cutting the test plate out til today. We used wood since we only had one piece of scrap black ABS plastic that will be used for final cut. It still needs a few tweaks but good enough for me to test fit things. I still need to figure out some lights for diff locks. The ones I had way to bright for my liking.

Gutted stock cluster. I left enough of an edge so I can secure the new panel on it.

I haven’t had much time lately. Bad weather and work getting in the way. Only real news is that I picked up the transmission from the rebuilder. Now I need to order my clutch this week so I can get the trans installed.
Still hoping for SAS3 as of now. I think once I get the drivetrain in a drivable state I will be more motivated to start body work. I work better with a deadline as I get lazy when I have “plenty of time left”.
