And the weekend we didn’t run the rubicon I been putting it off, My brother and I changed the valve seals, The shop that did the head work put Chevy LS seals in it, We could not find the right ones, Georg at Valley Hybrids in Stockton came through for me apparently it a odd seal, the one on the left is a Chevy LS seal almost the same as toyota but no seal on the bottom like on right it would smoke at start up, Now it seems like it ok no smoke

Did you replace w/ LS? Or Yota?

Well today we worked on the 68, needed to install the back tailgate it was off the vehicle when we picked it up, This is not a easy fix very difficult, I helped my brother and with this new jack, Wow what a jack it was much easier than the short original one. Longer is always better, Pics of jacks

Ah, the Pig tailgate! It always separates the dedicated from the amateurs....

All Toyota now, the Toyota seal has that seal on bottom, That fixed it no more smoke at all, Don’t use LS seals, not sure why the other Toyota seals don’t work on the earlier 2f head.

Made my tire carrier , it is bolted down on the floor . and beefed up ( behind the wall ) where it bolts up to window , Gotta secure the load for off road , That"s Spankeee the monkey :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

So this is the next phase on the UN 55, Iam going try to put this power steering box on, Thanks to Pigeaten and this power steering box ( 79 Mini box ) and the extra shock mount I got from the Hog farm, Iam trying to keep the stock look, this will take time because of the holidays, What do you think ? Same bolt pattern but different angle, I could just make a new shock mount easy fix but want that shock mount enjoy pics.

not sure about welding on cast but we have welded cast before,
I would do a "cast iron/cast steel spark test" and proceed with caution if cast steel and avoid all together if cast iron on something that will kill all the babies when it fails.
With your fab skills why not just build an entire new mount out of steel plate?
