75 FJ40 Rear Body Mounts

This can't be right. Plates welded in to cover the tops of the body mount bolts. I'm guessing P.O. thought this was a good idea. Not really a mount either. Just a bolt with a chunk of rubber. How is this supposed to work?

There should be a smaller hole that is in the top c channel. It allows you to get to the bolt. the hole is covered by a plastic trim plug. Once the bolt is out the body mounts which are rubber slide out towards the front. It looks like yours was just covered up.
