Looks like you were correct Ol Yeller. I was ordering some stuff from Coolerman so I had sent him a picture of the connector, here is his response: "If this was a California Spec truck, that 2 pin connector is for the Vacuum Switched Valve. Part of the emissions circuit. "

Here's v2 of my bracket for moving the air cleaner assembly. Trying to get it made out of scrap but if I was going to make v3 I'd just start with a piece of flat bar and cut/drill as needed. There shouldn't have been any reason to lower the bracket like I did with v1.

Drove the pig for the first time a couple of days ago down the street and back. Now need to get this hood fixed so I can take it on a longer drive. The entire front section is in bad shape and the latch portion had "caved" in. Gonna be a pain I think to get it lined up correctly but going to try.

Does anyone happen to have a pic of the mechanism for the fresh/recirc lever? Going from fresh to recirc doesn't move the door and I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be bent like in the pic below. The front and rear fans are working great but it did take me too long to figure out you pull on the fresh/recirc lever to turn on the front fan, just like it says.

The power steering setup I ended up with is a FJ60 power steering pump and (I believe) a Scout steering gearbox. The fitting on the gearbox is an 11/16 flared fitting. I'm on the search for an adapter that converts the 11/16 female fitting on the gearbox to a 16mm female fitting that accepts the FJ60 power steering pressure hose. Anyone know if that type of adapter is available? I have not had any luck searching so I sent a request to Cruiser Brothers today to see if they have anything. I'm not very close to a hydraulic shop to easily have a custom hose made but will do that if necessary.

You might check the Summit Racing catalog, or Russell - makers of the braided stainless hoses.
I had the opposite situation, 60 box and the Parker Store didn't have any metric fittings, so I had to adapt...
HTH!

Thanks Pablo. I forgot to post an update for that issue. Cruiser Brothers got/made me a pressure hose with AN-6 fittings on each end to match the pump and gearbox. It's all connected and leak free. :steer:

I just missed falling into that category. My fresh air cable is broken as well so something most go wonky with the setup

did you ever find out what was wrong the fresh air cable/mechanism? my pig is doing the same thing.....thanks

@76lcmike, I tried bending that piece back but with the cable bent like it is I don't think I'll get it fully working. I'll probably put a want ad in the classifieds for that whole mechanism once I'm done trying to fix the rusty hood.

thanks, I did the same thing. to no avail.:bang:

Care to disclose that cost and who did the work?

Mac's Radiator in Salem, OR for $610, they sent it to their Portland location because the Salem tech was on vacation.

I'm sure there a cheaper options but I'm over one hour from the closest radiator shop and other shops I tried to contact never called back. My wife was heading to Salem so I asked her to drop the radiator off and then a couple days later they gave me the estimate. Looked at mounting a FJ60 aluminum radiator but that took me down the road of cutting the mounting brackets and welding back on and I don't have a spool gun for welding aluminum. Anyone need a FJ60 aluminum radiator? lol
