Awesome info. Thank you.

Slowly piecing the sheet metal bits back together so I can figure out where all the engine components are going to mount

The idea is to create the necessary clearances but keep it tight so it doesn’t appear completely hacked and mangled.

Passenger side is DUN

Fairly low profile but with the window up it’s not in the way of the view

Played around with a few of the tubing copes, pulled the top of the cage inward just a bit as it was hitting the upper frame on the driver/passenger door

Tucks in pretty well, right above where the pump will be

Slowly working out how all the accessories will mount. There are a LOT and I want it to be clean

Engine bay fuse panel. Using welded in threaded inserts for absolutely everything as I don’t want to play with back-up wrenches during assembly/disassembly

IPR Research coolant filter. Uses a machined reusable element and the filter can be fully bypassed also via mounted valving

I have that ipr filter on my 6.0, but with it facing upwards.

Are you brazing all of those weld nuts? Impressive.

More inserts, now one the front radiator support

Canton radiator overflow tank along with a Grote back-up alarm. The alarm will be used for an audible overheat warning, triggered via engine coolant switch. Loud and annoying when it activates but you also CAN’T miss it

Yes, silicone bronze as the heat is easier to control. Figured the filter really doesn’t matter which way it’s oriented :)

Also found a spot for the ARB compressor. If my measurements are correct, should clear the hood by about 1/4”

I thought about using a 8.1 in my swap. I decided it was just too big for the room I have. The low end torque will be great. If you switch to aluminium heads it would probably shave off 100lbs or so I imagine. Those along with a aftermarket cam would wake it up more in the higher rpms.
Yes, it's certainly big. For this build, I'm hoping it won't need a bunch of high rpms, mostly low end torque I think

Received the radiator from Entropy Radiator today. Rated for 700HP and supposed to fit in a CJ. Very nice shroud and dual fan. We’ll see...
