Just didn’t want to have them stick straight up in the back.

Hopefully I can put a flip up seat in front of the struts.

Had they been straight up neither a flip up or side mounted original seat would have fit.

Compromises everywhere

Made a little progress on the rear bumper, the paper templet was before I found the round lights and larger pipe.
Had a fabrication shop in Ft Worth break the steel, walked in at a great time. They were just cleaning the shop.

This "looks" great- maybe less functional for some, but its cool and unique.

My kid likes the long window, I still have the wrap arounds. Was really leaning towards the two side windows, but am thinking about the long single.

One more vote for the long one and I may do it.

that's the fold and tumble Hanks sitting on. Fuel tank is hanging under the rear, but contacts the brake lines.

Felt like I really needed a heavier table, to get the sides fabbed up. ended up clamping the sides to a 2.5" square tube

Also took time to make a 2x72" belt grinder top left on table picture.
Having those 5/8" holes in the table top make clamping a breeze. I stopped drilling near the edge, because we always just clamp from the sides. But I'm going to add more holes.

this is going to be really cool.

Clutch lines !#$&^ not brake lines

What do think. Now is the time to internal slave
