No relation, saw it on facebook marketplace and thought it looked pretty decent

A few FJs for sale in Gulfport. They’re most likely over priced but motivated to sell, they claim. I know they’ve had them for a while. The dealer on the lot tonight said they were hoping to sell them during Cruisin the Coast this fall.

On the 1970, the tub, roof rails, and door seams all look good from the outside. The passenger side looked like it had rust bubbling through under the door. The door was also bleeding rust. He told me they were asking $20k for it, way over priced.

Those things are most likely South American imports of which 99% of them are painted junk.
Again, the 1970 had a lot of chrome parts on it and was the only one on display. This is the same auto group that wanted something like $10k for an 85 Toyota pickup that was held together by bubble gum and rust. It actually had an aluminum residential door threshold holding part of the bed together with self tapping screws.

This is not my proudest post after not having posted for a very long time but I thought maybe someone could talk them out of them.

I got the Texas Red 40 all ready to go to another home and something has let go in the motor. Idles nice but once you give it gas something is clearly knocking in the motor.

If anyone wants a great truck, message me.

$10,000 as it sits. $11,000 with a full replacement period correct good F135

Had the motor not gone coo coo the only thing it needed was $400 in door and hard top gaskets

I’ll fix it and sell it for more but I don’t want to.

info is here. It’s a true gem.

Just out of curiosity, what’s the VIN on that? My ‘67 came out of Texas originally. Also red.

I guess mine would be a ‘66 tagged as a ‘67 too then. Interesting.

Sorry to hijack. Good luck with your sale!

I don’t have a pic but it’s in the thread. Look on your passenger fender and see if there is an aluminum tag with 67 on it next to the VIN plate.

Basically they sat in the lot so long they got retagged to the next model year
