P’Md ya @THEOZMAN

Question for you, and or all: what is the largest inverter you think could run off the power from the seat tap?

Are both seats on the same fuse? As in could they be combined for less drop?

Thanks

I bought two harnesses and combined mine in to one lead. I don't see any drop a only see steady power. Maybe @r2m can comment here if he's had any issues with connecting more demanding equipment.

Theozman sent me this when I made an inquiry on 1 vs 2 last year:

There is a dedicated circuit for each seat so you will endup with 2 red and 2 black wires. For best performance and least voltage drop, you can combine the reds together and the blacks together into one set of 10 AWG wires.
With 2 you can have much more capacity to run a fridge and other stuff at the same time. 1 would get you 15A capacity and 2 would get you 25-30A with less voltage drop

I went a different route. I used 1/0 AWG (about the diameter of your pinky finger) and ran that all the way from the "house" second battery along and tucked up into the rock sliders and then up under a port under the third row seat back into the rear cabin, which I connected the 3k inverter and accessory 12 VDC plugs into. So far this has been great for all my power needs including the e-chainsaw! The chainsaw does pull a lot of juice and before I got my new alternator I had to have my wife rev the motor to about 2k rpm's to kick in all amps needed for the inverter and chainsaw. I have not had a chance to try my chain saw since getting the new 240 amp alternator.
See my build starting at post #28: Builds - R²M 2013 GX 460 Overland Build - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/r-m-2013-gx-460-overland-build.1104719/page-2

Finally got around to installing the power tap and marine panel in the back. Thank @THEOZMAN for making this possible! Been a minute since I busted out the solder iron.

I think it would be a great idea if since these are no longer available from OP, one of you guys that were lucky enough to get one could reverse engineer the wiring for the connectors for us unlucky ones to try and DIY this

My problem is I have no source for connectors otherwise I'd build them along with other various connectors in the cabin.

@THEOZMAN, are you no longer making these? If not where can I source these (and other Toyota) connectors?

It's actually easy enough to just run a wire from the battery back through the cabin and into the rear cargo area. Hardest part is feeding cable through grommet in firewall.
I have that already but would like to not have to eliminate the extra wires all over

Thats the main thing is finding the connectors, been looking through catalogs but cant pinpoint it down so far to find the part number for them and start searching

Gotcha. Let me know if you find anything.

I debated the top location, but have other plans for that spot.
I plan on making it my wiring hub for my interior accessories. Ignore the mess, I really need to clean it up.

Looking at connector with my jeweler magnifier I see 12413 on it. I have a spare non-pass through one left. I purchased (2) pass through ones that still allow for the power folding seat to work that are in vehicle.

Looks exactly like this one

Thank you! Now I just need to find some others. LOL

to make the pass through i would just need the other half of the connector then? I wonder if the parts counter guy would be able to decipher it’s mate
