not hard. you'll need to split the upper and lower plenum, so get the right gaskets for that- might get TB gaskets and EGR gaskets and get the runners and plenum cleaned up inside out WYIT. find a set of OEM injectors used and send them in for service. Get new harness connectors and terminal ends for them cause yours will be cracked and brittle. open the loom and make certain the splices are in good shape and not pulling apart and corroding...once you have the cleaned injectors and all the gaskets, you'll be into it for a half a saturday...get a new fuel filter too...

I got mine off of eBay and they work great
Consider replacing fuel pressure regulator:

and cold start injector while you are there:

No need to replace them. They will outlast the vehicle in most cases. you can probably get a million miles out of them. Just send them out to be cleaned.

Removing the fuel rail and intake is a few hour job doing it slowly and methodically. No special tools. Print out the FSM pages if you don't already have a hard copy of the FSM.

I have a scanned PDF of the FSM and it doesn't show the fuel injector service pages. Anyone got a copy they can email me? I just won the bid on E-Bay for all 6 at a great price.

You can most likely send in the cold start valve with the injectors to be cleaned. Can't recall where I had mine done (one of the online shops), but it was like an extra $10-20.

the injectors are inbound already. I just need some instruction on the replacement process. or what page on the FSM and where to download the full copy.

I'd suggest getting a new set of the plastic(rubber?) cups that the injector sits in the manifold holes to seal it as well.

Could I use silicone gasket sealer on the old ones?

Good gawd no.

The only part numbers I have for fuel injectors are what I think are the two gaskets on the fuel rail side. Can't remember which part number is which. It seems when I had my injectors cleaned they came with new rubber. I don't have a number for the grommet on the manifold.

O-ring #1 90301-07001
O-ring #2 90301-19006

do the injectors require torque lbs or just snug tighten in? and anyone know the page # in the FSM for injectors?

Page FI-58 starts the discussion. You don't torque the injectors. The injectors are held in place by the fuel rail, three bolts.

get the oring and grommet kit. once you have gaskets seals and repaired injectors on hand, it will all make sense once you get the plenum off. Assuming the pressure in the line is gone or next to nothing, the hardest part will be cracking the fittings loose of the fuel filter and on the fuel rail- break torque of the pressure reg and damper with the rail still bolted in place. As mentioned, do not overlook inspecting your harness and you might also consider buying new injector connector housings. make sure to push the injectors straight into their respective bores...gently lube the orings so you can twist the injectors a bit if needed without damaging the seals...
