Team,
Adding some thoughts on the on the E vs C--I went from 255/75r17 C (KO2s) to 255/80r17 E (Falken Wildpeaks) and had no issue on road. Offroad on washboard, however, the difference was very noticeable.

Something you could easily deal with if you wanted. But in the pursuit of a really good running offroad vehicle, could see how one would want to avoid the harshness associated with E rated tires on our ~6k lb vehicles.

Right now, I'm on 255/85r17 E rated Mickey Thompson Baja Boss tires with 0 offset Nomad Arvo 17x8.5 wheels. They are doing the trick for sure.
Next step is the Kenda 35x10.5 (1" wider) with 25mm offset wheels. I'm concerned that this will make my KDSS rub even worse (right now it's barely happening on the bolt). But I do think that having a more reasonable offset will make the car handle better.

Also eager to get a 1.5" body lift installed!

Antectodally, I've heard that Kenda doesn't have the best QC. Anyone have opinions on this?

Id go with Installing the kdss relocation bracket and move the end links out board the LCA and call it a day. This is my plan, I have all the parts to install just haven’t found the time to get around to it. Easy answer is to assume anything above 34” in diameter will rub/contact the KDSS with a moderate wheel offset between 25-35mm.

I have used the Kenda Klever in the past. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy another set. Great hybrid tire, super tough, no balancing issues. Wear was good with regular rotations. This experience is the norm around here. Haven’t heard any negative publicity about their recent models (Klever RT, and AT2)

Very helpful, thanks sir. I've heard that the KDSS relocation kit has its compromises, but need to read further (I know there's plenty on this topic on the forums). Sounds like mounting the end links outboard solves one of the issues? That being the bushings being torqued?

A lot of good stuff here on mud about this subject. We are now hearing of +50,000 miles of use and abuse with guys here running the relocation bracket on their rigs that i dont have any legitimate concerns about it.

Getting the links outboard solves, for the most part, the extra stress on the bushing/link. Ideally the relocation bracket would move the kdss bar a smigde farther forward to get the links at a closer to factory angle when links are outside the LCA cradle.
A few here have made their own custom brackets to address this. Something like 1.5" is the magic ticket.

Very very helpful, I'll take a closer look. Thanks sir!

Funny how easy it is to spend $$$ on these trucks! Unfortunately it sounds like the body lift install is incredibly time consuming, I'm projecting it'll be a $2k+ install cost for labor alone (sorry not sorry that I don't have the time to do my own worked (well, I'm a little embarrassed too)).

I should say, the KDSS relocate is a piece of cake. I could do that!! Much as I hate wrestling with sway bars.....

Good point re: the retaining washer...

I heard back from Nitron Auto in Aus... $910AUD + postage.. ($650ish USD)... i like the idea but should be able to make it in house.. also incorporating a skid on the LCA.. that would provide a support the outside of the bolt/screw and not be in single shear.
3/16th should be fine for that..

In the meantime i am going to mount in single shear to be able to get everything square where it needs to be and measured up.

Hoping to add that to my prototype list of items after the electrical/battery/water center cabinet for the 200..

I am running the Kenda 35x10.5 r17 with the Nomad Sahara's with 0 offset and it doesn't rub the kdss. It does however rub on the body mount a little bit, so you should plan for a body mount chop.

Sweet! Got a any pics? I bet it looks great.

It's funny how KDSS rub works--even if two rigs have exactly the same wheel and tire setup, they may have different rubbing issues (mine and yours, for example).

A lot of it is due to alignment and the amount of caster.

Hmm, can't say I've seen a "grandpa gold" LX570, wasn't aware that was a stock paint option. Looks pretty good with the bronze wheels!
