Wowza….
I definitely want to wheel the heck out of this thing without chewing up fenders. 35’s on my 100 chewed up the front fenders on trail. Very ugly.

I appreciate the info. Should I aim towards a +25 and higher offset?

Yea man. Heed this advice. Anything beyond 25mm is gonna get into your sheet metal at full compression. I’m running 12.5” wide on 25mm and is within mm of having a bad time.

Yikes. Very grateful for you guys supplying this information before making a purchase. Thank you!!
I think you’d be happy with 25mm. Poke to bad time ratio is just right

Is there anyone out there running 0 offset on 35’s?
Patiently waiting for SSW’s Dakar wheels to be back in stock. I’ll be pairing them with Yoko G003 35x12.5r17.
In the mean time, I don’t see many people running 0 offset. If you or anyone you know has experience with 35’s and 0 offset please LMK.

Yes my 200 has a basic 2” and full fat 35-12.50 on 17x9 “0” offset. It was honestly easier than I thought it would be. Body mount chop, rear fender trim and go on. It just barely polishes the kdss. It’s driven daily by my better half and she loves it. In certain (rough) situations you can make it rub, but it’s not aggressively trimmed at all

+25 offset and 35x11.5 will clear the fenders. I know 35x12.5 is only a half inch wider but my setup is pretty tight up front with any turning when crossed up on a trail. Rears would be fine on x12.5 but fronts could contact at low speed. I’m sure on +0 offset wheels you’ll contact the fenders if you’re turning and flexing unless you extend the bump stops

Do you have any first hand experience? I am ok with trimming and BMC….what else is included that requires way more clearancing?
here’s mine with 35s and 0 offset. They barely rubbed on the drivers side every once in a while, but required trimming and removal of mud flaps. I have since gone down a size to 285/75r17s. I’d like to also switch into +25 wheels, so if you know of anyone who’s interested pm me.

Such a great stance.
If only they could be stuffed..

A bodylift could make it work.
Yeah if I had the setup like that already I'd look into a body lift and extended bump stops to see if I could make it work. But I think the rears on +0 with x12.5" wide will almost certainly hit the rear fenders on a good highway bump, so you'd need a lot of bump extension, or some fender rolling, in addition to the body lift. And at that point getting different wheels and tires is probably cheaper.

Once again appreciate everyone’s experience.
Finding 17’s at +25 was tough but settled for methods.
35s really look huge on the garage floor. Once they’re on the truck they just look standard hah!View attachment 3622668
I noticed that at cruise moab too. I thought my 200 had lots of clearance and looked huge on 35s, then I put it next to an 80 on 37s and felt like I was wheeling a Highlander.

Forgot where I saw that but I also saw someone say “they’re bloated highlanders”

It’s hard to unseen especially in the rear end department. Oh well, the 5.7 says otherwise 🏎️

Stupid Toyota design language. It's the same reason the new 4Runner (and even the new LC 250) looks like a Sequoia viewed from the front.

2013 LC200
Wheels: Nomad Arvo 17"x8.5" with 0mm offset
Tires: 35x10 aka 255/85r17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss
Fox 2.5 (with stock preload), SPC UCA

All I've done is trim the fender liners and I get nearly no rubbing. I get a little bit of rubbing on the KDSS arm and bolt at full lock. This amount of rubbing doesn't bother me for my intended use (frequent dirt roads, infrequent wheeling, and almost no hard wheeling)

These are the narrowest 35s you can get, and on a 0 offset wheel--and it still rubs the KDSS! Good food for thought--just because someone else's truck can pull it off doesn't mean yours can--every one is a little different, case in point based on all the different fitment anecdotes on this forum.

Setup looks great, I absolutely love my MT Baja Bosses so far. 255's = better mpg? Lighter steering feel? Curious to see how you like the super-skinnies on a rig as big as the 200. Not surprised you're getting some KDSS rub since the Mickey Thompsons have major sidewall bling factor. But FYI, 255/85r17 is a 34" diameter tire.

Heck yeah! I'm most recently coming from 285/65/r18 Falkens and didn't bother checking the difference. I'm at 11.6mpg uphill with (3) people and ski gear. 14mpg downhill by myself.

I think the steering feel is definitely lighter that a wider tire. Feels super nimble. I felt that very much with my old V8 4Runner too (had 255/75r17s KO2s and 255/80r17s Falken Wildpeaks).

Good point on the KDSS rub with the Mickey Thompson sidewall bling factor.

As far as your stealing my 35" thunder goes!!! :D
I've always been confused on this--my understanding based on actual vs labeled measurements is that a nominal/published 35" tire is anywhere from 34.1" to 35". Same for a 34" tire (a "34" is anywhere from 33.1 to 34). Etc.

Here are some snips from the Mickey Thompson website, still not sure where that leaves us!

Note the "35x10" listed under equivalent size in this first snip.
