Now that is cool. Way cool. And then a Fox chose the 700 as well...

THIS EXACTLY.Drove 5000 miles - including 1999 straight through in one shot to get home... In the middle, played in the Rockies and have to say, this felt better on the trail than either of my 200's that sat on BP51's. On the highway? Game changing... While I was originally concerned with the tank size, I'm actually going to pause on the aux tank as cruising at ~80 (ish) I was getting about 380 miles between fillups (despite the digital estimated mileage topping out at ~300) a tank, which is plenty when I travel with dogs. All in, stoked on the new platform!

Sadly, no one will listen to you guys, who actually put the cars through the wringer.THIS EXACTLY.
There's so much hateraid out there on the new LX, but having put more than 1000miles off road now, it's driving character is superior in nearly everyway over my 200. It's shocking how confidence inspiring the 300 is on trails.
Tailgate aside. BOOOOO.
My wife was laughing at how it just floated over stuff on the trail that looked gnarly and how the camera made picking the right line so simple... and stuff like trail turn assist just activating actually feel like magic.... Im in the minority, while I loved the tailgate for keeping cargo in check and the aesthetic/tradition, I value the full sized sun/rain shade even more... but the glass should pop and the wiper should be hidden. My gripes are more nits - The second row should still slide, the cargo shelf is flimsy and Im not confident it'll age as gracefully as the 200 due to material choice.... but for a pure driving experience, it's so much better on every surface I've shown it and I really love driving it, while I more "appreciated" driving the 200.THIS EXACTLY.

The huge difference is running cruise control... it seems to really limit the turbos. I'd go about 350 between fill ups and only put in about ~14 - 15 Gallons. Never over 15... So probably had even more range. Truck was loaded down, roof racks on, factory tires.... heavy foot too as necessary380 miles?
Man when I'm going 80 down 5 it's 16 mpg if I'm lucky...

The reliabilty is still up in the air and will know after some time. Tailgate and interior spacing sucks but everything is simply lovely.Sadly, no one will listen to you guys, who actually put the cars through the wringer.
But hey, Lexus is not "reliable" anymore there!
Please keep me posted on that - was hoping to see inspiration for onboard air back there and personally lack the requisite talent to play a lead....I have a concept of a plan of installing on board air and a water tank on that ledge under that shelf to fill it out, then it won't be as flimsy anymore. I think a single brushless from arb might fit if I rip the toolkit housing out...
THANK YOU! Finally, another fella here that appreciates this 300 as some of us do. Even the foxes do. I have about 8000miles on mine and will keep preaching it is the BEST successor to the 200 out there. GLIDES over bumps and washboards magnificently. Still, my only gripe is that 3row arrangement - but I got a 2 row, so could not care less. I see more and more 200s coming out for sale - BAT and elsewhere. My theory is that most of these sellers (especially the ones that owned a 200HE) are buying into the LXOT and not looking back. IMO, the trend will only increase with time. And then a Fox chose the 700 as well...

In my experience if you keep around 65mph and in Eco, you will get about 20mpg easily. That's driving like an old gramma, so when you start going 70/75/80 you will see it drop to between 18 and 19mpgs. Arguably, if you are up to the pucker game, could get around 350 with that refuel light screaming at you. To me this honestly would make a difference only offroad. Road tripping with our pup, my conservative bladder and skinny butt anything above 280 miles is more than enough to refuel and stretch the legs. The huge difference is running cruise control... it seems to really limit the turbos. The LX suspension is THAT good. It would take A LOT of money to improve upon it and then you'd lose the AHC. We build the most incredible 700s on the planet and they don't need a suspension upgrade.Drove 5000 miles - including 1999 straight through in one shot to get home... Yep, we did Santa Fe / Denver this past week and I was concerned about the small fuel tank initially but ended up stopping primarily for biological reasons instead of fuel reasons so now I am very satisfied with the range. Also up at 10,000' the turbos + hybrid made 2-lane road passing maneuvers so easy.THANK YOU! Finally, another fella here that appreciates this 300 as some of us do. Even the foxes do. I would be shocked to see someone going a full 380 miles in a single shot. I think it is also not good to the fuel pump to run this close to E.
What's with the trim piece mid door? Your addition or a 2026 thing?Well, she finally arrived a couple of days. Upgraded from a 24 F sport. While I enjoyed the 600, it was more of a symbolic nod to what could have been with the 300 around the world. But holy s***, the overtrail is like a dream. I personally really enjoy the hybrid and am glad it’s part of the overtrail edition. 285/70/18’s are going on next week. I was going to go with the 35’s but didn’t plan on swapping out the wheels yet and was just a little worried that the 35’s on the stock wheels might flirt a little too much with the UCA’s. I did adjust the sensors this morning to get the 1 inch sensor lift…. Super straight forward. I am actually feeling pretty good about the 34’s now and it will be nice to not have to worry about any rubbing. Not sure if I will keep the sensor adjustment or revert back. As noted in other threads the left and right heights are not the same. And when I adjusted the sensors they were still off by about the same amount. I’ll probably spend a little time tinkering to get them matched up. Interestingly, I had purchased the wescott links a while back to thrown on my 600 and just never got around to it. Having just made the adjustments with the stock links I see no reason to go with the Westcott…. The 1 inch and 34’s will be great. I may just need to understand the long terms effects of adding the extra inch and if there are any precautions I need to take. I’ll be getting an alignment after I throw the tires on.
Dissent roof rack was ordered a coupe of weeks ago… no idea when it will be here. Anxiously waiting for Slee Sliders to become available. I actually like look of the Westcott sliders but the Slee seems to offer the best protection for the AHC which is a huge benefit. Front bumper is kind of wait and see…. Doll House trip planned for this fall….. took my mostly stock tundra there and expedited the need for a front bumper and I expect it might not be much different this time around
Yes, the third row sucks…. And I do need a third row from time to time with the kids…. Most of my time in the outdoors I have my off-road teardrop and so I ultimately don’t need to put anything in the back… View attachment 4154391
It’s one of those accessories that comes ‘pre-installed’. No idea if it’s something that the factory will be including on more of their 26 builds or not…. It’s one of those things that is an added cost of the build sheet that I didn’t have an option to remove. I may have them remove it when I do my ppf…What's with the trim piece mid door? Your addition or a 2026 thing?
