Sitting in the airport in Lome, Togo 🇹🇬, waiting for our red eye to Paris. Saw an Lc300 in person. We really are just fine with the Lx600/700. The Lc300 is imposing, prestigious, and makes a huge statement, and would do so stateside. The LX actually seems just a hair less so, up against the Bmws, Mercedes, and Escalades.

That's said, I'd still buy an Lc300 if it showed up Stateside 😂.

Also saw a bunch of 70 series, including one with a 50cal mounted in the truck bed. Rode to and from the hospital in a Hilux. This is the place where Toyotas live and breathe, because not much else survives.

Did an esophagectomy and a few dozen other surgeries of varying complexities. My wife took care of babies and adults. Looking forward to getting back home and back to hearts and lungs.

Amazing. Thank you for helping others!

OEM mount points? Like the feet used the holes in the rails? If so, do you have the part numbers for the feet? Thanks!

Feet clamp on to the OEM flush railings. No changes to vehicle needed. Only 165 lb limit though, and the rack itself is 60+ so realistically you're limited to 100 lbs, or 40 if you want to play it safe off-road.

Thule 710601 and 186189 with the caprock. It says only M and L are confirmed fits, but I went with XXL

Here's an actual video of Toyota Auto Body Yoshiwara plant, where LC300, LX and 70-Series are made

And for sh*t and giggles here's a video of the Mega Cruiser being compared to LC300 GR-sport and FJ Cruiser

The difference in ground clearance is immense (nearly 17 inches of min ground clearance on the Mega Cruiser). Which is not so crazy considering the Mega Cruiser comes from factory equipped with 37s and portal axles

Digging out of an ice storm. I've lived in the north east...this southern ice is different. Coats the trees, seeps into and shorts out the building electronics, then freezes the overnight and everything's an ice rink.

Thankfully the Lx700OT did its job. "What ice?" Chains helped a good bit, and despite heavy build up under the vehicle, was able to press a button and rise above the occasion. Spent the day yesterday ferrying hospital personnel to work due to otherwise impassable roads. And today, after rounds, have been chainsawing at the rental house.

Wait. So, that POS V35A did not just die in freezing temps? After all it is not the venerable V8. What a disappointment to some folks in the other threads discussing how bad our engine is. I am sure the armchair warriors with YT channels were just salivating for those clicks. 😅

Yeah, I had to jump it off every time I started it. It rattled and smoked all the way to the hospital, and made terrible screeching noises on the way back home. Not to mention the interior rattled, the touchscreen failed, one of the rear seats became dislodged, and the passenger rear door fell off...

You are a good man @Docyota .
What chains do you use? Going to get a set even though the manual says they are illegal with the 18 inch wheels (double illegal that you put them on the front).

Wow, I thought it was just the 22" rims that were no go for chains.
Though I found some SCC Z cable chains that fit just in case of emergency

I finally got the Icon wheels and Falken tires installed. I think it is going to take some time for the look to settle in for me. Definitely looks more aftermarket, and I tend to think the stock look is pretty nice.

I'm a little disappointed that somehow the new +40mm offset wheels seems to be causing even more rubbing issues than the stock wheels did with the same 285/70R18 tires.

I had convinced myself that going with the 33.6-34.0" tires would prevent any rubbing issues. Wrong.

For those who have had to do some heating/molding, is it fairly easy to push the liner/mud flap in so that the back of the tire isn't rubbing?

Any suggestions on how to address the UCA rubbing?

Does it rub in H1? And if not, can you set the AHC sensors to set the N ride height higher?
