You did not! Here is the Thule Caprock Platform I went with.

Solid and no wind noise. Uses OEM mounting points.

As my wife said: "Lexus wants to cosplay being a blue collar worker."

Surprised at how nice it towed. I could hardly feel the trailer behind me which is somewhere around 5800# according to HD's website.

Yep. I do the same "blue collar" activities with my Lx. And I've gotten away from any explanation that it's "really and Land Cruiser." I just say it's a Lexus Lx and move on with life.

Same thing, but when anyone with car enthusiasm asks what it is I just tell them its a global full size land crusier in Lexus because they quit importing the full size Toyota LC. Adding they arent common because they dont import a lot of them. Found thats the best way to answer that without being confusing.

And I have been daily driving this over my F250s. Construction work out in the field daily.
 
Not a great photo but I parked by a 200 at Costco today and the differences in appearance are striking (to me anyway) given that they have the same overall dimensions.

The LX looks sharper and more athletic to my eye (and it certainly is more athletic).

The 300 doesn't have that bubble butt!
 
My 200 looks fat and bigger every time I park the 300 next it. Like a "Highlander that spent too much time eating free breadsticks at Olive Garden."
 
Good Lord...did you all see what popped up yesterday? A Toyota Renegade?? As if the LC name wasn't already whored out enough. IDK what is happening with Toyota anymore.
