Okay everybody. I'm getting the club shopping list finished and should be done acquiring the goods by tonight. Things are moving nicely. I hope to grab anything I forget on my way to the barn on Friday. I'll call people on their way in or post here if I realize I forgot something. All that to say...just worry about bringing yourselves and some grub for the potluck portion.

Also remember to check your membership status if you intend to participate in the GoPro raffle. Johnny and Eric F will have a list of current members that we will use as the otherwise default membership confirmation (current as of whenever they print it off before arrival at the barn). You can renew or join over your phone online but you might have to leave the property to find enough signal at times, so please check from the comfort of your home.

We'll be doing burgers and dogs, in addition to Porky, on Saturday night to have a choice for those who don't dig on swine. They will be ready before the pig is served if the pig decides to take longer than planned - this will give you something to shove in your kids mouths as they hassle you about dinner time. Heck, eat one yourself. That's why they're there. Actually...please post here asap as a kind of voting method to determine if the consensus is to have some stuff ready closer to 5:00pm for the kiddos. We aim to please and will try to accommodate but we won't be doing one offs - might just give you one and point you to a grill if you ask nicely, though.

I'm HOPING to have pig on plates at 6:00pm but please understand that these things can't be timed exactly and everything revolves on me waking up on time to get started (haven't missed it yet, even in the cold rain). Luckily, there are a few of you who wake up ungodly early, even on weekends, and you all seem to camp next to me. Related to that...don't camp near me unless you can sleep through 30 minutes of my alarm going off around 4:00am.

Great kid idea. We will have Brent and one of his friends.

ATTN: Saturday Workday People

This year we will be feeding you in the Dutch John Trailhead parking lot. I'm making Tomatillo Pork Stew (I'll keep it on the mild side but will have hot sauce and maybe some jalepenos for you) and will have some tortillas and bread. We'll also have a couple flats of bottled water. Please bring anything else you require or ask me 'pretty please' for something else y'all might want.

If you'd like to volunteer for the illustrious title of Chow Monkey on Saturday, please let me know. You'll need to be in the lot 1.5-2 hours before serving to get everything set up and heating through. You'll also need to have room to transport our field expedient kitchen. You will not have to provide anything other than what we load you up with. Thanks in advance to anybody who considers this.

I'm now unable to attend the Meet & Greet.....sorry @fj40z and @mtweller! Still no grand daughter but we now have family coming to town.

Thanks for setting that up John!

To build on that, we will be meeting at the Dutch John Trailhead parking lot at 9:00am on Saturday. We will be collecting trash, cutting back overgrown brush and repairing some split rail fencing, so all who plan to attend, please make sure to bring hedge trimmers, loppers and hammers out for the workday!!

With only 1 day left make sure you guys share on Facebook to I created the event on our Facebook page to share

Last time I checked my mom is making two pans of Mac and cheese, the more Mac and cheese the better! (Especially for little ones)
Daniel and I will drive up when he gets off work Friday night (-:

I'll have 1 7 year old who will certainly be up for a hot dog by 5. He has a karate belt test in the AM so we will head to dutch john and may be able to help with lunch service or cleanup if need be.

I am prepping the truck tomorrow and the wifey is pulling the kids out of school a bit early. Hope to be there around 5:30 or 6.

Does anybody have any info on the range on URE?
Is it open?

I have an itch to do some pew pewing.
Yes, it should be open. 100yd max rifle. Can't recall pistol max. You NEED to get a range pass from Eldorado Outpost ahead of time. They do not sell them at the range and they will turn you away, no matter what, if you don't have them. Bring targets. They have stands, staplers and tape. Supply your own ammo. FYI, my last time there I bought my range pass 1.5 hours before the listed closing time, then I got there, set up, started and the guy came by to tell me he was closing in an hour.

Not sure if all of your stuff is unpacked from the move. PM me if you're in need of a specific pewer. ASAP, obviously.
